Beautiful Fall Leaves.

I live in a part of the United States that has a lot of hardwood trees. Every fall they put on a really colorful show. We will just get in the car and drive around our area looking at the beauty.

This week's sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches is a perfect one to display some gorgeous colored leaves.

The background paper is from a 6.6 pad in SU's new catalogue. When I first saw this paper it just reminded me of falling leaves.

A few years ago, I bought a long garland of silk colored leaves at JoAnn's. I pulled off all the leaves and use them on cards. The leaves are attached at the base with large glue dots and then I added a raffia bow. The sentiment is a really old unlabled one.

I hope you will check out all the design team cards at Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and then share a creation of your own.

Duct Tape

There are a lot of jokes that go around about duct tape and men.   So for a masculine card for Cardz 4 Guyz why not use duct tape? I was going to use burlap on the card but Cardz 4 Guyz challenge is to use a stencil so I pulled out Tim Holtz stencil called burlap.

I used a Kraft card base. The sentiment is done on the computer. I saw this saying on a sign somewhere on my travels a few years ago. I die cut it with a deckle edge rectangle from SU. The edge of the sentiment is also stenciled. Then it is secured to the card with real duct tape and a bandaid. Inside I added another strip of duct tape at the top of the white liner.

Summer Weddings

Tis the season for summer weddings or at least it was for me. My anniversary is August 31, 54 years ago. Using our sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week

This is my interpretation switched from landscape to portrait.

The bride and groom is an old unlabeled one. I highlighted the bouquet and the man's cummerbund and tie  with red and then added a red ribbon accent. The background is a white floral from Sizzix. I love the elegance of black and white for wedding cards.

Flower Bouquet

Wow! Tuesdays roll around really quickly.  Time for another Tuesday Morning Sketches

When I saw this sketch, I knew exactly what to use. And, I actually followed the sketch exactly!

The bouquet is an SU stamp, colored with markers. This is the actual stamp, unfortunately now retired.

I covered the hugs with a white fish tail banner. Then added die cut circles. The sentiment is an old unlabled one.

Check out all the design team cards at Tuesday Morning Sketches then share your design with us.

Santa Train

Okay, time to break out the Christmas papers and start on some cards. Even though I have a box full of Christmas papers, I had to have this new one from SU called Santa Express. Who identifies! 😂😂😂

There is one sheet of paper that has these cute little carts full of gifts. I fussy cut one cart and 2 of the trees. The Ho Ho paper is the reverse of the carts design. Another of the papers is the diagonal strips. The sentiment is an old one and punched out with a SU label punch.

This set of papers will be perfect for Send A Smile 4 Kids to send to children's hospitals.

The layout is the sketch from Sketch Saturday

Distress and Grunge

Sharing a masculine card today for Cardz 4 Guyz featuring distress and grunge and Lets Craft and Create featuring distress..

I searched through my papers and found the orange/green which I think would be considered grunge. The green strip on the side was torn from cardstock and then I used a tree e/f to make the tree trunk on it. The tree die cuts are from SU On The Horizon. A white sentiment would have been too stark for this card so I chose a scrap of Kraft. The sentiment is from the same SU set stamped and fussy cut.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

Pretty Florals for Birthday

Tuesday Morning Sketches is back with another sketch. Remember, the shapes are suggestions. You may use any shape.

I have used SU's Hand Penned DSP--retired last year. The floral is the reverse side of the green/white piece. I picked up the floral colors in using Garden Green and Pale Papaya for backgrounds. The sentiment is an old SU one, stamped in Garden Green and fussy cut. Linen string is from my stash.

I hope you visit Tuesday Morning Sketches and check out the design team creations then make your own and share it with us.

Jack-O-Lanterns

Welcome to another Tuesday Morning Sketches with this fun sketch

This one is open to a lot of possibilities. If you don't want to use an envelope, feel free to use any shape. I have 2 cards for your inspiration. They are the same except one is in portrait and one in landscape.

I found the dotted paper in my scrap box and used the colors from that for the rest of the elements. The jack-o-lantern stamp and die is an old one from SU. The button is a Martha Stewart punch tied with black and white twine. I like this punch because it is flat enough for mailing without extra postage.

I am making Halloween cards for Send A Smile 4 Kidz for the children's hospitals.

Please check out the design team at Tuesday Morning Sketches. We hope you find some inspiration and will play along.
