glitter & bling

mojo monday 211 sketch challenge:

My neighbor came over and asked me to make a birthday card for her granddaugher who like lots of sparkle and bling. I decided it would go well with the mojo sketch so here is my card:
That glitterty colorful DP is from the Butterflies and Blossoms stack by DCWV. Stamps: PTI (stems), TAC (flowers & sentiment). For added glitter, I added yellow glitter glue drops to center of flowers, silver dots on scalloped circle, traced the Happy Birthday with the rose star gel pen, and finally 2 small rhinestones on the butterfly which was cut from the DP. I use black jeweler's wire for butterfly antenna.

WMC72

Wee Memories challenge is anything, any Holiday. It is a little hard to think of Christmas and Snow when the temp is still in the 70s but I really need to get started on Christmas cards as I have a Craft Bazaar next month. So here is a Chritmas card:

A fairly quick and easy card to do. It is on white cardstock base. Punches: Martha Stewart. Stamps: The Angel Company. Snowman colored with colored pencils, frosted lace stickles to white snow parts, cotton ball to hat brim and tassel. I also used clear glitter gel on the snowflakes.
Okay, 1 down--many more to go.

flower shop

I love this sketch from mojo monday:

I just reminds me of an old fashioned flower shop with a colorful canopy. So here is my card:

White cardstock base. Green is Shimmer Pack from DCWV and DP is from Butterflies and Blossoms Pack also from DCWV. I don't know what happened with the scan but that pink strip is actually a bright pink as are the butterflies. Stamps: flower, Inkadinkadoo, Sentiment, Lawn Fawn. Inks: Staz-On black and MS geranium. Flower is colored with Tombow marker. And what would a flower shop be without a few butterflies. These are MS stamp and punch set. I used a clear star gel pen to give them a little glimmer. I think a thank you card ought to always be pretty and I think this one fits the bill.

"Spook"tacular Halloween

the playdate cafe has this colorful Halloween challenge

I made this fun card for my grandsons who last year were fascinated by all the blowup ghost lawn decorations.

Stamps: SU (boo), Inkadinkadoo (swirls on green and Happy Halloween), Craftsmart (ghost)
The ghosts are cut out and hung on polka dot ribbon from Michaels. I only secured the ribbon in back and left the ghosts to swing. I hope when they open the card the ghosts will pop out.
The Happy Halloween at the bottom is a little hard to see. I stamped it in black and then traced with clear star gel pen.

And this one for my granddaughters who are such cuties!!

This one is white card base smudged on edges with black ink. Scraps from the other card.
Stamps: Inkadinkadoo (swirls, cobweb, and sentiment) Craftsmart (witch)
Spider cut with Cricut

merci

Lawn Fawn has issued a challenge on this World Card Making Day of making a thank you note and sending to a loved one. My card is for a member of a committee that I am on. She has gone above and beyond in serving.

That cute french looking label is from a bag of craft items I bought at a yard sale. It is French Looking so I went with the "merci" stamp. The "fan" is a half circle of Martha Stewart paper doilies. The orange cardstock is DCWV Shimmer Stack. Hearts are from Stampin" Up.
