Pig Out

Fun, Fun, Fun digi stamp from the PigWit series at From The Heart Stamps
I colored the image with colored pencils. Put some glossy effects on the cherries. The birthday hat is a clip art picture printed and cut out. The colors go so sell with the cupcakes. I did the sentiment on the computer. Chubby little pigs jand cupcakes ust seem to need polka dots. I found this scrap in my pile. Mounted on SU's Blushing Bride. Maybe we can rename it piggy pink!  Inside I did a row of cupcakes and the sentiment from the same digi set.
I'm entering this in D.J.'s NBUS challenge.

I don't know if digis actually qualify. This one has been setting in my email for a couple of months because I had kind of forgotten how to download and unzip. Techie challenged senior here!!  I finally figured that out so this is a NBUS image for me.
I had so much fun making this card. I can't wait to find the right friend to send it to.

Another Boo Crew

I still have the Halloween papers and stamps out on the desk. So when I saw this sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch! I spied the ghost paper and new I had to use that.

The DP is from Paper Studio and is covered with ghosts. I fussy cut 7 of them and added them to some DP from SU. The sentiment I did via computer and die cut it with an Umbrella Craft oval.
It doesn't show in the photo but I gave the ghosts shiny sheets with Wink of Stella. We wouldn't want our ghosts flying around in dull plain sheets!
You can see the other cute "boo crew" here

Boo Crew

Another fun Halloween card for Send A Smile 4 Kids
Using sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

The images are from Newton's Nook "Boo Crew". However they do not have boo crew as a sentiment so I did one on the computer. The background and stripe DPs are from SU.

Cute Witch

Making a few Halloween cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids. They want cute and fun, not scary.
There is surely nothing scary about this cute witch, a stamp from the dollar bin at Michael's. I colored her with pencils, adding rosy cheeks. Flying around on a crisp Halloween night could give you rosy cheeks.. I did the sentiment in a curly font on the computer. It is hard to read here. It says "witch" way to the candy?  The candy corn DP is from SU.
I used the sketch from Global Design Project

Howdy

To all you with a little bit or a lot of cowboy in you:  "Howdy Pardner"!
The DP is more of the paper shared by a friend who made a paper stash find at a yard sale. There was no label so I can't credit the company. The howdy is Die Versions. The boots are clip art colored with pencils.
I used the designs from Freshly Made Sketches

Hog Wild

I have been doing a scrapbook of our recent trip photos on 12x12 pages. Going back to making a card seems so tiny. I used this sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

and came up with this card
It is a bit of a stretch but I do have the 5 background images--4 pigs and a tag. I did move the sentiment to the bottom so it would not cover the pigs.  This designer paper was given to me by a friend who made a great find at a yard sale. A whole box of 8x8 sheets for $2.00. So happy she is the sharing type of friend.
The party hats were stamped on a white scrap, colored with star gel pens and fussy cut.  The tag is from Newton's Nook and tied on with gold metallic thread. The lower sentiment is from SU.
And I try to add extra interest inside so I fussy cut one of the pigs and glued it next to the sentiment
This is anything goes week at Tuesday Throwdown so I am linking up there also.

Scrapbooks

I have something a little different to share today. Have you ever tried using the sketches you find all over blogland as inspiration for scrapbook page layouts? I have taken this sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

as inspiration for a page in my scrapbook of the recent trip to Yellowstone National Park.
Here is the basic sketch used to set up the page.
And after I added the pictures.

It was so cool to see the black bear come right down to the road. It stayed there holding up traffic for quite some time. In the lower left is a mama moose taking her baby for a swim. On the right is a young elk feeding at water's edge.
I added a scrap of water design paper behind the moose and elkto bring out the water in the pictures. The background DP is from Paper studio. The font on the label is CK letters that I have in my word program. I think this one is called campground. It prints in b/w and I colored the trees and frames around the words with colored pencils.  To fill in some of the blank spaces, I added bear and moose stickers from Paper House at Hobby Lobby.
If you haven't had a chance to visit Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, I would urge you to put it on your bucket list. They are both awesome.

Monochrome

A quick card today for Tuesday Morning Sketches

and tic-tac-toe challenge at Tuesday Throwdown

Using the bottom row, I started with a Kraft card base. The DP is from the Serene Scenery 6x6 pad from Stampin" Up. I have had the burlap flowers forever. They are in a pkg without label so I don't know who makes them. It is all tied up with raffia ribbon.

Joyful Snowman

Hooray! I have my second Christmas card done. Don't you just want to hug this snowman and maybe dance with him?.
For the sketch challenge at From The Heart Stamps
Sketch160
I haven't pulled out my Christmas papers yet but found the blue check which kind of goes with snow themes. I attached that to a blue sparkly paper from Coordinations. Snowman and sentiment are both From The Heart Digis. That sentiment just calls for a shaker card. The frame is cut from Lawn Fawn stitched frame dies. It needed a little something for accents, so I punched out 3 snowflakes with Martha Stewart punch. I coated the snowflakes with glitter glue but that doesn't show in the photo.
