Summer Fun

Oh my, can it be Tuesday and the end of June already? Here's the new sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

I did this one in portrait orientation. The scene I created is a fun beach scene with My Favorite Things stamps and dies.

When I was cleaning and organizing a couple of weeks ago, I found the coolest handmade paper. It is perfect texture to make torn edges. The turquoise reminds me of ocean waves. To carry on with the fun mood, I added googly eyes to the penguin.

I hope you will visit Tuesday Morning Sketches and check out the design team cards. Use our inspirations to make your own card and share it with us.

Princess

The perfect card for your little princess. What little girl doesn't love pink. This card is pink overload.

I love working with the Memories and More card packs from Stampin" Up!. This one is called Bright and Beautiful. There are so many patterns cards and they all coordinate. I added a die cut of Aurora I found in my stash.  And, stamped a sentiment from SU.

Using the sketch #728 from Sketch Saturday

There are 2 of each designs in the card pack so I made another with these same prints.

The stamps are all from a set I found at Michael's as long time ago. I don't know the manufacturer

These are both going in my stash for Send A Smile 4 Kids

Summer Flowers

Here we are mid-June. Summer flowers are in full bloom.

And it is Tuesday, time for a new sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

Today I am using Stampin" Up!'s Hand Penned stamp set and patterned paper. The stamp is a 2 step. I love the way it looks like watercoloring without actually watercoloring. The sentiment is also SU! I pulled out the old Quite Curvy set to make the border along the flowered piece.

I hope you find some inspiration from our sketch and will share your creation with us.

Father's Day

Since the Sunday coming up is Father's Day, Cardz 4 Guyz challenge is Father's Day cards.

I have a lot of scraps of wood looking paper, I selected 4 different patterns to fill the front of my Kraft card. I don't know that it was intentional but the way they lined up reminds me of a dessert, just really serene. So it got a lone tree from SU!. The sentiment is also from SU!.

This clean and simple card was inspired also by the wood paneling on the mood board at The Card Concept

Cheer Card

Sending you cheer with sunflowers today for Tuesday Morning Sketches

Fields of sunflowers just brighten my day. We have several farms in my area that grow several varieties and colors of sunflowers.  So when I think of cheering up someone, I think of sunflowers.

The big gingham paper and the sentiment are from Stampin" Up!. The big sunflower is a die cut from Recollections. This one had the second flower and leaves which represent those 3 hanging elements in the sketch. I added 3 black enamel dots.

Inside I used another sentiment from SU! and glued another of the die cut sunflowers to the bottom.

I hope you have some inspiration from our sketch this week and will share a creation of your own.

For the Boys

I am using up some of the leftover pieces of DSP from SU!. The note paper is from a memo note pad that is unlabled. In keeping with the travel theme, I stamped a Tim Holtz globe on the note paper. It looks like it was torn from an atlas.  The little cars are an old, old stamp in my stash. I found some soft black stickers and added them as hubcaps.  I am leaving off a sentiment as this will go to Send A Smile 4 Kids and they can use it for whatever occasion.

The sketch is from Sketch Saturday

And finally, going to Shopping Our Stash whose challenge is "Let's hear it for the boys"

Another CAS

Look at me--making another clean and simple card with just a few gems added.

The challenge for the month at Let's Craft and Create has the option of "Hip to be Square".

My first thought was I don't make many square cards so I would just skip this month's challenge. Then I saw this card by Cheryl at Paper Panacea blog She used connecting squares. I cut my own stencil from square die cuts. I used tan, green, and blue inks with a make up brush. to make connecting squares. The stamp and sentiment are  form SU's Ginkgo Branch

Sigh!

Playing today with the new sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday with an optional theme of masculine.

I used the Stampin" UP! stamps from Wild & Sweet and Back on Your Feet

The pattern paper on the strip is the back side of the background paper. I did a get well greeting on the inside.

Retirement

Happy Tuesday. Welcome to #710 sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

I have a retirement card to share.

I used a piece of world map scrapbook paper. But you could use a page of an old atlas. The sentiment is retired from Stampin" Up!
Thanks for visiting. Check out all the design team cards.  Tuesday Morning Sketches. I look forward to see what you make with this fun sketch.
