Spring has me thinking "green" so I wanted to see how many shades of green I could put on a card. Here are 2 that I made. One is 5x5 and the other 7x3 1/2. I get in a rut of the regular 5 1/2 x41/4 I decided to "think outside the rectangle" and try some new sizes.

They really make me think of all the shades of green found in spring.

Bridgette's color challenge this week if cream, brown, and sparkle. This is my entry. The base is cream cardstock. The swirly paper is from The Luxury Stack. The swirls are in each corner and make a nice accent for cards. The flower is cut from another portion of the same swirl paper. It has a "diamond" brad center. I made dots around the scallop with a brown marker then dotted each one with clear glitter glue. I've been wanting to try my new Scor-bug so instead of ribbon, I used a strip of brown shimmer paper and scored every 1/2 in. I think this looks very elegant. Hope you like it Bridgette.!

This is my MoJo Monday 131 card. I found that at Papertreyink you can download and print samples of their paper. These little squares are from their green boutique collection. They are 2" squares so work perfectly for this card. The sentiment stamp is from TAC. I love brown & aqua combo so used the brown polka dot ribbon. Then found some large white buttons that just accent the squares. They are tied with brown floss. Wow, now that I look at the picture, this would work well for that photographer that sees smiley faces in all kinds of objects. Hope it brings smiles to your face.

This is my MoJo week 130 card. I found this orange and green pattern paper today and thought it looked a little like a jungle theme. I trimmed the green background with decorative scissors that remind me of jungle grass growing. the leaf and monkey are stickers. In keeping with a jungle theme, I used raffia to wrap the bottom 3 times and then tied double strand of raffia around that. What little boy--or even big boy--wouldn't like a jungle theme birthday card?

This is for Bridgette's color combo challenge of yellow, blue, grey, and white. It is or white cardstock. The sun/cloud stamp is from TAC. It is hard to tell from the picture but the cloud is colored with light blue pencil and then silver ink brushed over it with a q-tip. The sun is with yellow colored pencis and accented with the gold star jelly roll pen. The bottom "bubbles" are stamped with a Studio G stamp and blue ink. The happy birthday square is a clear stamp from the dollar bin at JoAnn's. The ducks and butterfly are stickers. The inside of this card says "Hope your birthday is 'just ducky." It is for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday.

I wanted to show you this cute little "treat box" that I made for my mother-in-law's bridge club. Instructions are found athttp://paperjewels.blogspot.com/2010/02/window-box-treat-tutorial.html. I used yellow cardstock because it is so springy. The background paper is an aqua/yellow from My Mind"s Eye. I punched out a scalloped circle and an white circle and stamped Happy Spring (from TAC). Then I used a gold pen to make dots around the scallop. The ribbon is a yellow/aqua that I purchased at Michaels for $1.00/spool--a good deal. I filled it with yellow Easter grass and will put in some pastel color wrapped Hershey kisses.

Wow! It has been a busy week for me. I have started volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and have ended up as manager for our new ReStore--a shop where donated building and home supplies are resold at reduced costs to earn money for building houses for the needy. As I have NO experience at retail, it is a sharp learning curve for me. I have missed my creative time and almost forgot about MoJo Monday challenges. I have a commission for some children's cards so I combined that with the challenge. I used white cardstock base. The airplane design is from Nana's Kids paperpack. I printed You're a star on my computer and then cut out the star outline. I used 2 punched stars to anchor my red strip.
