Kitty Birthday

A birthday for you cat loving friend or for your kitty if you're so inclined to do that. I love cats but don't think I ever gave one a birthday card!
The DP is from a yard sale purchase of a birthday card kit. Cat and sentiment are from Newton's Nook. They have the cutest images!  I used several colored pencils to color the cat. I was going for calico look--not sure I achieved that, so it's a good thing cats come in all sorts of colors and patterns!  Banners under the button are a SU punch. Button is tied on with lavender and yellow twines.
I used green, birthday, and button from the tic-tac-toe challenge from The Paper Players

and the design from Newton's Nook sketch

Butterflies

I have been trying to increase my all occasion card stash before I drag out all the Christmas paper and stamps. I love the water color DP from SU. I had a small piece of it left and thought it would work well for a sympathy card. And I love butterflies on sympathy cards. They seem so peaceful.
The large butterfly is SU Butterfly Prints and punch. Scrapper's Floss make the antennae. There are 2 aqua gemstones in the center. And here I go again--I had to fill up all that white space so I punched out smaller butterlies with punches from Martha Stewart and Stampin' Up. Sponging them with Tempting Turquoise gave them a little more definition. The sentiment is also SU and I used Basic Gray instead of black for a softer look, not as much contrast as black..

Fisherman's Birthday

I have had a package of wood pieces from SU for quite sometime. Do you do that? See others using a product and love it, buy the item and then are stumped about what to do with it.  I spy them when I go through my embellishment box and keep trying to come up with a way to use them. Finally, after picking DP from SU and a scrap of burlap, I decided the wood accents would go well.
The fisherman chickie is from DaNami, colored with colored pencils and centered on a round wood piece sponged with Chocolate Chip. I also sponged the ink around the happy birthday banner for a woodburning effect.  I have also been admiring those loose curly bits of twine on cards so tried it here, securing it in several places with glue dots. Let's just say that circle is not going anywhere with all the glue dots on the back!!
I am entering this in the Tuesday Throwdown challenge of Anything Goes.

Fairy Godmother

Busy day planned so popping in early for Tuesday Morning Sketches They put their sketch on facebook on Monday evenings so I was able to get the card made and blog ready early.
The DPs are yard sale finds. Stamps are Too Much Fun Rubber Stamps--found them at a trade show. I colored the hippo with colored pencils and star gel pens. The pink star is punched out and coated with glitter glue. I know the DP is flowers but thought it could be "pixie dust" thrown up by the fairy godmother so I sprayed it with iridescent glitter dust to give it some sparkle. Sorry you can't see that, I tried several editing functions but couldn't get it to show up.
Inside has a computer generated sentiment and some of the left over DP for accent.

Get Well x2

2 neighbors are having surgery today. So I have done 2 cards using sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

The first is for the neighbor that has been a craft pal. She had a knee replacement and I thought she would love this funny and cute card.
I used scraps for all the papers and real duct tape and band-aids. The sentiment is computer made. The 3 little square gems repeat the square design of the DP. Here is the inside with more duct tape to secure the sentiment.
The other is for the man who lives behind us also having surgery today.
I love using this ship from Design Stamps for men's cards. I sponged on SU's Tempting Turquoise on the bottom and Color Box sky blue on the top before stamping on the ship in Staz-On Black. The sentiment and the DP are also SU. I punched out a white cloud and sponged on some sky blue. All the parts are anchored with SU Tempting Turquoise paper. I added some glue on silver brads to the center of the ship wheels. Inside I stamped an anchor with the turquoise.

Baby Gift Thanks

Continuing by effort to make a set of baby gift thank yous for a friend's daughter.
I sorted through my scrap file and found several girly pastel papers. I used different Cuttlebug IFs on the background pieces. The carriage is stamped in SU Melon Mambo. The sentiment is Studio G. The button is a Martha Stewart punch tied with yellow/white baker's twine. Punching a paper button keeps the card flat enough that extra postage is not necessary.

Happy Birthday Little Tangles

It is birthday month at Little Tangles. So Happy Birthday to you.
The papers are from SU. The white label is SU's Deco Labels die. I stamped on some Pool Party splotches and black "tire tracks" from SU's Gorgeous Grunge. The car is from an old Inkadinkadoo set, colored with pencils, and silver star gel pens. The car is cut out and popped with deminsionals.  I tied the birthday banner to the car with some baker's twine. Makes the car look like it is pulling the banner. Great card for the man in your life who likes cars!

Pink Giraffe

I am making some thank you cards for a friend's daughter who is having a baby girl in December.
I can't believe how many time this has happened. I just finished this card

and then went to check out some sketch blogs and Case This Sketch posted this sketch for this week's challenge:

The background is a Tim Holtz stencil with SU Regal Rose ink. The giraffe is DaNami Design colored pink with colored pencils. Sentiment is SU. I had a scrap of pink gingham laying on my desk and decided that would be cute as little hearts for accents.
I actually saw this idea on Sandie's blog for Time Out Challenges I hope Sandie doesn't mind my casing her card.

Baby Shower

A good friend's daughter is having a baby and I am going to help with a shower for her. So I have been playing around with some designs for invites. This one uses the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches
White card stock with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots IF
BoBunny DPs
Stamps: SU's Baby We've Grown, baby, and shower.  PTI for "it's a", Studio G for umbrella
I used Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the umbrella so it looks like the bunny is holding it. The umbrella was stamped on the DP, cut out, and glued to the umbrella shape.
I think this one will be easy to mass produce.
Here is the sketch
