Wedding Favors

Taking a break from making cards for a bit. My son is getting married March 2nd. We are so thrilled for him. Lovely girl and they are so happy together. I am making place favors for the reception tables. 250 of them.  These are going with me to my daughter's house for Christmas so I can have some help with assembly.  Uploading this project to Tuesday Morning Sketches as they are having an "anything goes" challenge.
They are 4 oz paper espresso cups, purchased from Amazon. You have probably seen them on Pinterest in a Christmas motif. You can download a pattern here  (Edit: I tried this and you don't go directly to the pattern. On the left side under categories, click on Christmas and scroll down to the second post)
I covered the cup with lace using a strong double sided tape,  then added a silver metallic ribbon band. The Mr. & Mrs. is an old SU stamp. I had to fussy cut them because I didn't have the right punch for this label. Can you say "hand cramp"? I did the names and date on the computer and punched them with a circle punch.
This is the tag attached to the back which I also did on the computer and punched with a tag punch from SU.
I do a few every night while watching TV so I think I will make it on time. They will be filled with Hershey Kisses but I am waiting until last minute to do that so I won't be tempted to eat too many.

This Little Piggy

This may seem a little strange. I am sitting at my desk streaming Christmas music and making Valentines.
I mailed out all my Christmas cards and have a few for back up emergencies. So time to make a few Valentines for Send A Smile 4 Kids
The heart paper is from SU. The piggy is a pre-colored digi by From the Heart. The sentiment also by From the Heart. I winked the candy wrapper to make it shiny.
With an orientation change, I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

"Hay" There

I have finished, addressed and sent Christmas cards. So I am moving on to Valentine cards. It sneaks up on us before we know it. I have 5 grandchildren plus their parents. They live a considerable distance. Since I don't see them often, I send them each a card and treat. The kids are all teens and pre-teens so they don't want anything cutesy.  And I like doing puns on cards.
Also it is time to start making some for Send A Smile 4 Kids. Since it is still winter here at Valentine's Day, I think my card will be okay for their Winter Fun 4 Kids challenge.
The background paper, a friend gave me. The bale of hay is from LaLa Land stamps, the hairy chick in back is from SU and the small one is from Newton's Nook. All colored with SU blender pens and fussy cut.
Inside I did a computer sentiment that says "Be my Valentine".
I have used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches, using my 3 sentiment words as their 3 accents at the bottom.
And one for the boys
The striped paper is from SU. The farmer is from Newton's Nook.
Since it is Anything Goes at Tuesday Throwdown, I will post there too.

Snowman Skater

I thought I was done with holiday cards but there seems to always be a need for 1 more. I found this really pretty snowflake paper by The Paper Studio at JoAnns. And just received the Spirited Snowman Set from SU. This skating guy is sure having a lot of fun! I  hope they keep this set and make dies for it.
I stamped the skater, colored it with SU Blend pens and then fussy cut it. He is popped up with foam tape. The snow "waves" are from the Swirly Bird by SU.

Unique

Just as each snowflake is unique, I want children to know they are each special and unique in their own way. This card for Send A Smile 4 Kids expresses that sentiment.
I used non traditional Christmas colors because the hospital it goes to can use it anytime during the winter. The base is SU's Lemon-Lime Twist. The pattern papers are from a Cricut pad of "Frozen" theme paper found at JoAnn's for half price. The snowflake is die cut from a green sparkle also by SU. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.
The sketch is taken from CAS(E) this Sketch!
And coincidentally, the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches is so very close

Tuesday Twofer

Today I made 2 cards for 2 challenges.
Darnell's Twofer challenge with the added theme Wreaths
And using Tuesday Morning Sketches
Wreaths aren't usually diamond shape so I took liberties with the shape in the sketch.
One is a Christmas wreath hanging over the mantle
On both, I used the Wonderous Wreath set from a few years ago by Stampin" Up! and punched flowers. The sentiment is from a word set also by SU. The brick paper and the  "mantle" strip are from my scrap box.
I know it is just beginning winter season but I am already longing for Spring. The older I get the less I like cold weather. My twofer is a spring wreath hanging on the back fence.
The sentiment here is from Newton's Nook. I added a strip of grass paper from my scraps at the bottom of the fence. The "fence" paper is from a pad by Ms. Sparkle at JoAnn's.

Penguin Choir

These adorable penguins are practicing for time to go caroling.
The designer paper is some my friend gave me. She found it at a yard sale. She is always on the lookout for craft supplies. Great friend!
The penguins are from Lawn Fawn, colored with Stampin" Blends and fussy cut. I was able to squeeze the sentiment between the music staffs to look like words to the song.
This is for 2 challenges.

Snowmen for Kids

I have finished fall and Thanksgiving cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids holiday cards for kids.
Trying to get some winter theme cards for the kids.
I have 2 --same image but different messages.

This stamp is from Newton's Nook. The left one I just colored 1 snowman because it says "snow one else like you". The other I colored the whole party.

My cards get distributed on the Midwest where kids are always excited about snow.

The Forest

I like to keep a stash of sympathy cards so one is available when the need arises.
The tree image is by Judi Kins and was purchased at Hobby Lobby. I did the forest in Basic Grey, Certainly Celery, and Old Olive all from SU. I stamped off one time first to give the more subtle effect. The sentiment is also SU stamped with the Certainly Celery. I stamped the tops of the trees on each end for a little more interest.
The inspiration is from the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches

2 Trucks

I have a twofer. (errrr make that a threefer) for Darnell's Twofer Challenge.
I had 2 cards made (get well and Christmas) and ready to post and then what? that says Harvest. Back to the craft table to do another one with the harvest theme.
So here are 2. One for harvest and one for Christmas.

And here is the original which started this process, because I needed a masculine get well card.
SU images: truck, tire tracks, tree, sunshine, snowflakes. falling leaves. SU Blender Pens for coloring.
LaLa Land: pumpkins and bale of straw which was cut down to fit truck.
Morning Star Stamps: get well sentiment.

Joy

Making progress on my holiday cards.  Cards come together so quickly when using a sketch.
Supplies are all from Stampin" Up! The letter dies are Tim Holtz.
Inside I did a greeting on the computer and glued a strip of the DP along the side.
The design is a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches
And while I have the idea in my head, a couple more:

Fall Card

It is photo week at Just Us Girls and they have a gorgeous fall photo to use for inspiration.
I love the colors of fall. I had a beautiful piece of paper from JoAnns that has colorful leaves. I used that as a base for my card
The straw and pumpkins are from La-La Land Crafts, all stamped, colored with SU Blender Pens, and fussy cut. The scarecrow is from SU stamped, colored, and punched. The sentiment and label punches are also from SU.

The Tropics

Starting out today with this message I found on Pinterest:

It is so my craft room today--LOTS of ideas waiting to be created! LOL!
So it is amazing that I could come up with these cards for Darnell's Twofer challenge using leaves. I am using palm leaves.

The Santa image is a digi I purchased on Etsy here. But there is a similar one in the SU new Holiday Catalog. Santa is colored with SU blender pens. I think he ran off from the North Pole without his sunscreen and is getting a bit pink surfing in Hawaii. The palm trees are from My Favorite Things. I stamped then colored with SU Blender Pens and fussy cut them. I attached the palm trees only by the trunk so the tops are swaying in the wind.  There are 3 punched yellow circles in the upper right to add a little sunshine. You know, how you squint your eyes in the sun and see yellow dots.

The Flamingo is from Stampabilities also colored with SU blenders. The DSP behind the flamingo is SU Tropical Escapes paper pack. I accentedt his one with 3 pearls.
I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches for inspiration.
Now I think I must do a little cleaning, straightening, and organizing.  A messy desk is a sign of a creative mind but too much mess stifles creativity!

Daisies

I won a bag of paper flowers. There were a lot of daisies in it. Here is one way I used them.
The polka dot paper is some from a bunch of paper a friend gave me when she cleaned out her closet. The sentiment is a die from SU. I loved this one so much I decided to do another.
This die is from DieVersions.
The sketch if from Freshly Made Sketches

It is a cool rainy day here so I should be able to get a lot of crafting done.

Spectacular Birthday

Now the card for the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches

The fun image is a From The Heart digi colored with Stampin' Blends. The DP is from a 6x6 pad that long ago lost its cover so I don't know who made it. The sentiment is from SU popped up with foam tape. Inside I did a computer sentiment "Have a Spectacular Birthday.
