Lace

papercraft star challenge 64 is to use lace on a card. Here is my card:

The dotted design paper is DCWV Holiday Collection and the print is Paper Studio. Those are backed by DCWV Shimmer Stack green on an ivory card base. The leaf is diecut from SU. The poinsetia is from a strand of them from Michaels. I only had white lace so I "tea dyed" (steep 3 tea bags in 1 cup hot water and soak the lace until shade wanted).
Here is another lace card I did a week ago for papercraft star "anything goes" challenge:

Noel

This mojomonday sketch challenge has a lot going on. I am prepping for 2 craft sales in November so thought I should get started on Christmas cards. The DPs are all from DCWV Christmas Stack. It is so easy when the papers are double sided and color coordinated. The Noel stamp is Craft Smart (Hobby Lobby) colored with colored pencils and star gel pens. Ribbon and red gems from Michael's

Angel blessings

papercraft star has a challenge of "Anything Goes" Here is my card:

I got this new stamp from Hampton Art this week. Isn't she just adorable?  My daughter's birthday is coming up so I made this for her. Supplies mostly from scrap file. The DP is Luxury Stack. The HB stamp is Lawn Fawn. I colored the angel with colored pencils and used clear star gel pen on the wings for some shimmer.

WMC 67

I think this is my first time entering a challenge from Wee Memories. I do love their blog--so many inspiring ideas. This week's challenge is making a 1 layer card.

I don't remember the source of this technique--I saw a video quite a while back. The background is made by cutting a rectangle (or any shape you like--some of the nesties would be good to use also) in a scrap of cardstock and taping a piece of gauze over it. Then sponge on color over the gauze. I used Studio G sage green and Color Box sky blue. The dragonfly is Stampabilities stamped with Studio G truquoise and them lilac over that (Use a stamp-a-ma-jig). The sentiment is from PTI.

change

papercraft star has this color challenge this week.

I wasn't sure I could come up with something in that combo. But looking in my stash, I found this butterfly print on vellum (it is actually black instead of navy) and the quote that I printed on the computer and punched out. So then I found a piece of aqua to back the butterflies and backed the scalloped circle with red. So I had my entry. Turned out way easier than I thought! The butterfly is Stamp Affair. I stamped it with Staz-On black onto a piece of the aqua paper, cut it out, outlined with black marker, highlighted with Clear Star gel pen. The antenna are black jeweler's wire. In real view, it is popped up with Pop Dot. That gorgeous shimmery aqua ribbon was only $1.00 a spool at WalMart--gotta love that price. The jewels at the bottom are actually stickers from Michael's. I think this might be a great anniversary card with the message "Thank you for changing my world"
