My Tuesday Morning Sketches entry this week.
I love pretty patterned papers. They do not need much enhancement to make pretty cards. This one is retired DSP from SU. Look closely, you will see a Fiskar punched scallopped border from the reverse side of one of the DSP's in the set. The hello is a die cut with a lost label, cut with Pool Party and 2 layers of black. The little punched "stamp" in the upper right has a mini frog from a set of miniatures--again without a label. I stamped it on Pool Party card stock, sponged on turquoise ink, and colored the frog lightly with a green Prismacolor pencil.
Here is the sketch that I followed
Great card with this frog !!!!

I like pretty papers, too. The paper you used really is the star of this card. I love it's rich colors. Your little frog adds a bit of levity, like a smile, to go along with the hello sentiment.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a pretty paper for sure!!! Love how you let it shine on this beautiful card!

What a fun hello card - this was perfect to show off that amazing paper. Thank you for joining us at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
ReplyDeleteThis paper is so pretty. I love using pattern paper as a background. It adds to the design and uses up all the papers that I've hoarded! That is a cool scalloped border.
