Witchie, Witchie

Well, we've rolled around to Tuesday again so time for a new sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

I really like this one and am sure I will be coming back to it often. I actually made 2 cards to share today.

The first is for Halloween. I recently purchased the Bewitching stamp set from Stampin' UP!s clearance rack. I have been admiring the witch hats and shoes for a while and now that it went on sale I just had to have it.

The lemon-lime twist paper (SU!) is embossed with Cuttlebug E/F with big dots. It reminds me of the dots on the witch hat which I now realize maybe I should have colored them green instead of purple. The purple scrap is embossed with SU!'s spider web E/F . I stamped the shoes on a white scrap, colored the socks and buckles and mounted that on black. I would normally have done a little shading under the shoes to ground the image  but decided I want it to look like the witch is taking off so I made some clouds with a stencil. Then I stamped the hat on white and fussy cut it and attached above the shoes.

I left off a sentiment because I couldn't decide where to place it and well, it obviously is halloween.

Inside is a  computer made sentiment with a stamped spider.

My  two-fer with papers from my scrap mountain.

I hope you will find some time this week to play with out sketch, check out the design team cards, and share your creation with us.

Since the stamp set is new, I am linking up to My NBUS

  1. Your Halloween card is perfect! I love the witch hat and shoes. I haven't started my Halloween cards yet, but I know I need to do that very soon. Your twofer is great, as well. I like this layout and can see why it inspired you to use it twice!
