Sailboats for Men

Sailboats are one of my go to designs for masculine cards.

I have chosen a pocket card. for the Fancy Fold theme at Cardz 4 Guyz

The designer paper is from SU New Horizons. These are gorgeous papers that make great backgrounds. All I needed to add is the sailboat from SU Swirly Bird (retired) and an SU Sentiment. I stamped the sentiment in Tim Holtz Denim, fussy cut around it and then sponged on more of the ink. It makes the sentiment blend into the sea.

The card inside has a computer made sentiment. I continued the nautical theme with some cord tied onto the top.

Oddball Easter Bunny

Whew! I just finished a commission for 100 cards. Fortunately, they were all alike and done with a digital stamp. So back to our regularly scheduled program.

I am featuring a NBUS stamp from Stamping Bella. It is called Oddball Bunny and it is adorable.

I've used SU papers--Pale Papaya, Polished Pink, and a sheet from Daffodil Afternoon which is a freebie during Sale-A-Bration. The bunny was colored with SU blends and die cut. The sentiment is also a SU one.

Today I a sharing a quick and easy men's birthday card.

The paper are from SU Heart and Home Memories and More Card pack. The sentiment is an old SU one as well as the label punch. A little cord from the stash and done.

Barely done in time for the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

Not a Card

I have been making a set of cards for a silent auction and fund raiser for our local cancer patient services group. I used 2 sheets of SU Daffodil Afternoon DSP free with Sale-A-Bration to make 12 cards. So now I need a decorated bag for them.

I used a plain white gift bag. You can't tell in the picture but I used an SU E/F called bark on the Mossy Meadow corner piece, turning it vertical makes it look like grass.  The flowers and stems are SU's Nature Harvest.  The sentiment is a retired SU one. I had a tiny smudge of ink on the circle so added 3 punched flowers. Also made a gift tag with 3 more punched flowers and leaves.

I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches except in reverse because I accidentally put the glue on the wrong side of the triangle. LOL! Surely that hasn't happened to anyone else?

Here is a picture of a few of the cards going in this gift bag.

Girl's Valentines

Today's it is granddaughter's valentines. So much easier than what to do for grandson's. The paper's I used are called  Sweet Talk from SU.

I made a pocket card.  Find a video here on The Paper Pixie blog. Inside is a pull out card with a sentiment from SU (retired) I die cut a big heart, popped it up with foam tape and added a rhinestone bling.

I will add a Starbuck's gift card for a little sweet treat.

Here are 2 more.

Valentine for Grandson

I have sent Valentines and treats to the grandkids since they were born--the oldest is now almost 18. The girls are easy but I am really struggling with what to do for Valentines for my 2 teenage grandsons. Maybe they are getting too old for Valentine's? They probably just want the candy anyway.

One of the grandsons had a particularly nasty bike wreck a few months ago.  He is fine and all has healed well. Hopefully he will see the significance and humor in this card. Poor frog trying to ride a unicycle and juggle his hearts. Looks like he fumbled a couple.

The frog is a retired SU stamp, colored with SU Blends. The red/white strips are leftovers from some Christmas paper.  The stitched label is from Pink and Main. And of course every frog needs googly eyes.

I am entering this in the challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz  "Something Beginning with P". In my case it is pedal.

Hugs

Time for a Valentine for my husband with a new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches, actually an old sketch as they are revisiting their favorites from last year.

I used 2 pieces of paper from the stash. The sentiment is a combo of computer and an old SU stamp. The image is a digital from Whimsy Stamps, colored with SU Blends and popped up with foam tape. The 2 hearts are punched out and coated with Wink of Stella.

I am totally CASEing this beautiful card from design team member Andrea. I hope she doesn't mind.

Recovered Fail?

I recently saw on  Brian King's blog about dropping ink on card stock and blowing it around with a straw. I thought that sounded like fun. I used 2 blues and 2 greens because I wanted a water effect.  I don't know. I think I just made a mess but decided I could probably cover it some way. I tore 4 strips of colored textured vellum (retired from Stampin" UP!) to make a wave effect.. I attached  them diagonally. Then added a turtle and sentiment from Technique Tuesday.

Then while I was blog surfing, I found that I had used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Isn't it great how those things work out?

Also adding this to Darnell's NBUS page as the turtle and sentiment are making their debut.

Kid's Valentines

Sharing 3 Valentine's for Send A Smile 4 Kids new challenge of Love/Valentine's Cards 4 Kids.

This one's patterned paper is actually Christmas paper from SU!. After I am finished with Christmas cards, I go through my papers and pull out ones that can be used for other occasions. The image is a pre-colored digi from Doodle Pantry. I did the sentiment on the computer.

This next one also has paper from SU! but is retired. The image is a digi from Whimsey Stamps and colored with SU Blends. The sentiment is via computer.
Lastly, I stamped "Wally Whale" from Stampendos and colored him with SU Blends, and have him spouting little red hears. Another computer sentiment.

Valentines

Red and Green-for Christmas, yes. But for Valentine's Day, why not?

I found inspiration for these on Pintrest.

The papers and images are from SU. Ribbons from the scrap box. I did the sentiments on the computer and cut them apart.

Here are closer views of each.

I am entering these for the Anything Goes at Tuesday Morning Sketches
