Coloring on Kraft

New NBUS challenge by Darnell is coloring on Kraft. I have never tried that. Coloring and shading are a challenge for me as I am still practicing with the new Prismacolor pencils I gifted to myself for Christmas. The flower stamp is NBUS also from the Sunshine Sayings set from SU. I colored the lowers with 3 shades of pink pencils, using the blending pencil with each new color.  On top, I highlighted with a white pencil on some of the petals. It looked kind of dull so I sparkled it up with clear gems as flower centers.

The other big challenge here was getting the image from my phone, to the laptop, edited and copied to the blog. I definitely need a class in working with pictures in iMac.

Also entering at Just Us Girls with the challenge of stamping all over.

  6. I'm so tickled that this is a new technique for you, Donna, and that it comes right after you got yourself some NBUS colored pencils! That NBUS stamp was the perfect choice for this. I love your card and think your coloring is terrific! I don't know why, but I especially love shades of pink and rose against that grocery-bag-brown color of kraft. Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #8! Enjoy the future fun you will have with those pencils!! Hugs, Darnell
