New NBUS challenge by Darnell is coloring on Kraft. I have never tried that. Coloring and shading are a challenge for me as I am still practicing with the new Prismacolor pencils I gifted to myself for Christmas. The flower stamp is NBUS also from the Sunshine Sayings set from SU. I colored the lowers with 3 shades of pink pencils, using the blending pencil with each new color. On top, I highlighted with a white pencil on some of the petals. It looked kind of dull so I sparkled it up with clear gems as flower centers.
The other big challenge here was getting the image from my phone, to the laptop, edited and copied to the blog. I definitely need a class in working with pictures in iMac.
Also entering at Just Us Girls with the challenge of stamping all over.

ReplyDeleteFor the first time coloring on kraft you did an amazing job, Donna. I love that flower stamp too. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.
ReplyDeleteI'm so tickled that this is a new technique for you, Donna, and that it comes right after you got yourself some NBUS colored pencils! That NBUS stamp was the perfect choice for this. I love your card and think your coloring is terrific! I don't know why, but I especially love shades of pink and rose against that grocery-bag-brown color of kraft. Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #8! Enjoy the future fun you will have with those pencils!! Hugs, Darnell
