The Kraft Journal is right. It is time to get out the thank you cards. And I am completely out so have been working on that the last few day.
I hope no one "deconstructs" some of my cards. They might be surprised with the "oops" behind the design. On this one, I tried stamping the sentiment onto the Kraft cardstock with VersaMark and gold embossing. Didn't like the look of that--not enough contrast. But I couldn't waste a perfectly good card base. So I covered it with a strip of DSP from SU bordered by 2 purple shimmery strips to pick up the purple in the polka dots. I stamped a SU sentiment in black on a gold vellum banner and accented it with a gold/purple bow.

I do exactly the same, Donna. Waste not, want not, or so they say. I sometimes even use parts of the purchased cards that are sent to me - especially the purchased Christmas cards. They often include some lovely gold cardstock areas or other parts that are glittery. Your card today looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing your wonderful Thank You card in our THANKS Challenge this week. And also, congrats on your BIG WIN with us this month.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
