Rockin'

Cards for boys. It is always difficult to come up with that genre. There just are not as many stamps available for teen boys. The new Epic Celebrations set offered during the Sale-A-Bration from Stampin' Up! works great for teen boys.

One regret with this set is that there is no die set to cut out the images. I have spent a lot of time fussy cutting guitars.  The papers are from the scrap box. I think they are also SU. The words are from SU.

In The Pink

I originally bought the SU designer paper "Painted with Love" to make some Valentines. But I am finding it a lot more versatile. I love the bold colors.

The papers are all from the Painted With Love papers. The Flamingo is by Stampabilities colored with the pinks and calypso corals SU Blender pens. My oval needed a little bit of anchor so I added a strip of Calypso Coral.

I did the sentiment on the computer. The glasses are from Pocketful of Sunshine.

Mother's Day

First day of spring. Really? Mother Nature did not get the message. We had a thin layer of ice on the deck this morning and now it is snowing. Great day to hibernate in the craft room and create.

I know it is early to think about Mother's Day but I have to get them done early for Send A Smile 4 Kids so there will be time to send them in.

I recently received the free Sweet Soiree Memories card pack from SU Sale-A-Bration catalog. When I received them, I wasn't real sure what I would do with them but have discovered they make beautiful Mother's Day cards. These designs were all part of that card pack.
I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches for inspiration.

So far I have been able to do 12 cards from the free card pack. Now that is a real bargain.

Shades of Pink

The Paper Players challenge this week is shades of pink.

I usually like to do funny get well cards to make people laugh a little. But sometimes you just need a pretty and more serious one.  This is on Melon Mambo card stock with a scrap of b/w stripe. The leaf is a Sizzix die cut and the flowers from SU punches.

Flu Bug

Flu season is about past but I can keep this one in my stash for next winter.

This cutie image is a From The Heart digital colored with SU Blends. I used "Pepto" pink and "Nausea" Green papers. Stamped some bugs, fussy cut them and scattered them about the image. Confession time, I put that extra bug up against the hot water bottle because I colored outside the line and red does not erase well. So smudge problem solved. The sentiment is done on the computer.

Hey Chick!

Fun card for birthday, encouragement, really any occasion. I think it is just happy!

I used SU papers and stamp on Lemon Lime Twist card stock. I colored the chick with the Stampin" Blends. Because it is for a girl, I added some bling with clear sequins.

I followed the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Literal interpretation this time. :).

Cheers to You

Scrolled through blogs looking for inspiration. I came up with a card that suits 3 challenges.

Calypso Coral card base. Papers from the Bubbles and Fizz DP from Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration book. The cheers is from an old collection of sentiments stamped on the Banner from Thoughtful Banners. I don't have the Bubble Over Stamp set so I cut out bottles from the DP. "Bubbles" were made with a stamp from the Waterfront set.

Daffodils

I am working today on restocking my inventory of Thinking of You cards. Using the sketch from Global Design Project

It is a great sketch for some quick and easy cards.

The daffodils are from the new SU "You're Inspiring" set. The background is Timeless Textures
The sentiment is an old one on a banner punched out with SU punch.

New Home

I have a friend retiring and moving out of state :(.  However, it is to be nearer to her children and grandchildren :). So I wish her the best.

I cut out the house with ScanNCut, a fun new tool from my son's family. The papers are from the scrap bin. Sentiment via computer. And then I added "landscape" with punched out flowers.

Easter Chick

I am starting on  Easter Cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids.

The poor chickie stamp lost its label. so I can't credit it. The coloring is with SU Blender pens. The sentiment is from SU. The papers are Daffodil Delight and Pool Party. For more spring color, I added pink enamel dots and a pink ribbon. Inside, I just stamped a simple Happy Easter (SU) and added a couple of pretty egg stickers.
