Gift Bags

Gift are purchased. Not to wrapping. Or in my case, decorating the gift bags.
My son's family are all runners, even outside in the cold and snow. So they are getting warm socks with lip balm, Starbuck's cards, other gift cards, and for the girls--bath bombs for a warm tub soak after running, all tucked inside the stocking.
The socks are what inspired by gift bag decorations.

These are great ways to use up some leftover bits of Christmas design papers. The stocking die is from My Creative Time. To get a set, die cut one, then flip the paper and die cut another.  I punched holes in the edge of the bag--don't punch the whole circle, just half so the hole is not too large.  Run the ribbon through and secure inside the bag with glue dots. Attach the stockings with tiny clothespins. I used glue dots to secure the top of the stockings and small glue dots behind the clothespins just for a little more security.
I love how these turned out.

Another gift bag for a hostess gift of lavender candle and bath soak.
Here I stamped lavender flowers and then rubbed SU Highland Heather ink over them. And some green ink to ground them. The sentiment is also from SU.

  1. Your bags are fantastic! I just love that stocking idea and need to file it away for future use. I'm not done wrapping yet, so I may even be able to use it on a bag this year. I know I have some little clothespins somewhere in my stash. Thanks for another great idea. You've got so many of them!!!

  3. These bags are fabulous Donna! This year I'm afraid I bought a load of decorated Kraft bags with matching tags - just to save on the wrapping time. And, good luck in the prize draw - although the little critters are baby dragons and not unicorns. They still adorable aren't they!

Hugs - and Merry Christmas -
