Falling Leaves

Fall is upon us. We are beginning to get those cool nights, rainy days that make the leaves turn color.
Time to make those Thanksgiving cards.

I used 2 designer papers form SU's Serene Scenery paper pack on a Kraft card base. The vertical strip was run through big shot with the Woodlands folder. I used a q-tip and Chocolate Chip ink to stain the trees so they would stand out. Then stamped falling leaves from the Holiday Home set. I don't have any of the SU leave and die sets so I used some old leaf stamps in Pumpkin Pie, Delightful Daffodil, and Real Red and then fussy cut them. Running a coordinating marker around the edges hides any white edge still showing. I often do that with die cuts too. The sentiment banner was done on the computer and sponged on the edges with Baked Brown Sugar. Inside, I stamped more of the falling leaves around a sentiment I did on the computer.
I used the sketch from Pals Paper Arts

  1. Lovely fall card! The DSP from Serene Scenery looks wonderful for fall. Love how you did the trees and fussy cut leaves. The inside is so pretty too. Thanks for joining us at the PPA this week!

  2. I really like your fall card, and the inside is just as beautiful as the front.

  3. Beautiful way to play the challenge at PPA. Thank you for joining us this week--come back soon!

  4. Love the background you used. Great way to feature Fall. Thank you for playing this week with the Pals Paper Arts.

  5. Beautiful Thanksgiving card, Donna! I really like the leaf stamps you used. Good idea to run the marker around the edge.
