It is a very hot day here so decided to spend some time crafting--okay, let's be truthful, it is really to put off some housework. I used today's sketch from Stamping 411.
That was really a lot to get on a card. I couldn't find any of the coordinating plain cardstock. I guess I'd better do some shopping from the new catalog. I used ruffled ribbon instead of the scallop layer + ribbon. I love this Bring on the Cake stamp set. Hope you don't get too dizzy looking at all the polka dots! LOL!

This is actually on white cardstock but that didn't show up on the scanner. I was being lazy and didn't want to drag out the camera for a picture. I used a watercolor marker for the lace on the cake plate. Then I filled in the plate parts with a clear star gel pen to give the look of glass. Also it is hard to pick up here but the candle flames are colored with gold star gel pen to make them glow.
