Paint Chips

Happy Independence Day to all my American friends.  Our town had their 4th of July celebration on July 1. That just doesn't seem right. But that leaves today with nothing to do but get crafty.
On Pinterest, I have been seeing all kinds of crafts using paint sample chips. I picked up a bunch at Lowes and have been playing around with them.
This sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches is just perfect for using some of those paint chips.
My paint samples are longer and just seemed better oriented in portrait style.

The butterflies are on DSP from the Serene Scenery paper stack from Stamping" Up!. Their new Lemon Lime Twist is the card base. Butterflies and punch are old ones also from SU.
The second one has flower with die cut from Memory Box.

  1. OMG! This is genius! I haven't used paint chips in so long and what a great eye to see them in this sketch. Love this Donna! Thank you for joining us at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

  2. I love how you used the paint chips! These are both beautiful, but I really love the die cut flower!!
Thanks for playing along at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

  3. Very creative use of paint chips! I have cut a few embellishments from them in the past, but I haven't used them in a long time.

  4. Your cards are both a fabulous take on the sketch, and I just love the background on the butterfly card. Great use of paint chips too! Thanks for joining us at the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge!

  5. Paint sample are a great idea. Both your cards look wonderful.
