Retrosketch

I think this sentiment and stamp by Fiskar make such a sweet thank you card..
The green cardstock and the scrap of pink are from SU. The polkadot is from my scrap box. The eyelet punch is Martha Stewart. The button brad is also SU.

I used this sketch from retrosketches for the design:

CAS Friday

This is for cas-ualfridays challenge to use navy, lime, aqua.  Cardstock is Midnight Muse from SU. The butterflies are punched out of aqua dotted paper with punch from SU. Three little rhinestones on each one add a little bling. The sentiment is TAC. And a lime ribbon from my scrap ribbon box.
Sorry about the poor picture. Since I had to have my computer rebuilt, the camera program is not getting me to the edit page that was there before. I have such a LOVE/HATE relationship with all things techie!!

Summer

Nothing says summer like water and flip flops in a tropical paradise. This card is for 2 challenges. Paper Craft Star (water) and Tuesday Throwdown (tropical paradise)
I used a white card base. Polka dot DP from SU. This aqua sparkly rick rack reminds me of waves washing into the "sand" (scrap of tan). Flip flop is from Lockhart Stamp Co. and colored with star gel pens. Then I decided the upper part needed something so stamped the sentiment from TAC on a white scrap and punched a cloud with Fiskar punch. It is so hot here in Indiana, I think I could use water, flip flops and tropical breezes about now.

MoJo

Here is a masculine card for the MoJo sketch this week:
In making cards for Care & Concern committee at church, I easily do ones for women but struggle with masculine cards. This one went together really quickly thanks to MoJo Monday sketch. This is a real combination of companies for supplies. Starfruit DP from SU for base. IPs from Cuttlebug. Ticket is Tim Holtz. Sentiment is Lawn Fawn. Anchor is ?--label is missing. Lots of textures going on here.

Wow, it has been awhile since I blogged. I have been making cards but haven't been able to post any. My computer was malfunctioning. It ended up in the shop for a week. They had to revert it to factory and rebuild from there. So then I had to spend another week reloading all my programs and finding the ones they had backed up. One error I made, I forgot to tell them to back up iTunes so when my husband went to sync his iPod, all the tunes erased. OOPS!! Now I have to spend some time reloading his tunes.
Well anyway here is my card for Pals Paper Arts who provided this sketch:
PPA139and The Playdate Cafe for this color challenge:

Here is my card:

I think it is such a challenge to balance the solemnity of a sympathy card while making it something pretty to bring a little comfort.
Supplies:  Papers and butterfly (stamp & punch) from SU, Label die from Spellbinders, Sentiment from Hero Arts, It is hard to tell here but there are pearl accents on butterfly and daisy center.

Circle MoJo

Today I am using circles for CAS-ual Fridays round and round challenge with this Mojo Monday sketch challenge:

Here is my interpretation of the 2 challenges:
I used white cardstock for base, then a green from Bazzil. The white mat has impression circles from CB folder run through Big Shot. The circle DP is a scrap. The eyelet punch is Martha Stewart. The banner die is from Spellbinders. Sentiment is PTI. Since I am sending this in the mail, I used punched out button from Martha Stewart instead of a regular button which would require extra postage. The ribbon is also scrap. On the inside, I used coordinating designs around the message.:

No DP

I have to admit, this is not an original. I absolutely loved and cased this card from Brian, a super talented SU Demo.
20120529-200611.jpg

I did change it up a bit as I didn't think the leaf would go well with the doily. I used 3 pink rhinestones in place of the leaf.
It is for  Papercraft Star challenge of not using any designer paper on a card. The stamp is Delicate Doilies from SU. Sentiment is Studio G. The ink is black from SU and Geranium from Martha Stewart.

Pals Paper Arts

This is my first time entering the challenge at Pals Paper Arts. I stumbled on their website from somewhere else. Can't remember or retrace that path. Bunch of very talented designers there. Here is their design sketch:

PPA137
Here is my card.

This is actually on white card stock which did not show on the scanned inage. I am using up scraps here for designer paper and ribbon.
Stamps: TAC for sentiment, Inkidinkadoo for flowers, SU for butterfly and punch.
Butterfly is popped up on demensional to give depth--which also doesn't show up on scanner.
I am being lazy and did not want to get out the camera. I really need a place dedicated to photography but alas, my house is just too small to spread my crafting to more space.

Retrosketches 17

Here is  retrosketches challenge for this week:

I have told myself I simply must use up papers that I already have before I am allowed to buy any more.LOL!! We will see how long that lasts! This card except for white cardstock has all paper from scraps file. That blue looking strip is actually purple. That is why I chose ColorBox violet ink for stamps.

Sentiment is Fiskar Words Stamp set. Butterfly on front is SU stamp and punch. Inside butterflies are Inkadinkado.

Pretty in Pink

The challenge at Cas-ual Fridays this week is create a CAS card using pink. So I really went with pink! Pink cardstock stamped with Versamark Delicate Doileys (SU). One of the doilies is stamped in Martha Stewart Geranium and punched out. Sentiment is PTI on a banner from Spellbinders. Center doiley and banner are popped up with dimensionals. Even if you are feeling down or seriously ill, I think a little pink and some bling will cheer you up. So I hope my card brings cheer to someone today.
