I am having fun playing with the images in Stampin" Up!'s new DSP Turtle-y Cute.
Here is this cool turtle watering her plants. I fussy cut the turtle from one of the pattern papers. The stripes are the backside of the same paper. The flower vellum is a scrap from a retired SU paper. The sentiment is an old stamp fom Creative Memories. I added 3 pearls to the right side and 3 more to look like water drops coming from the watering can.
The sketch is from Sketch Saturday with the twist of birthday card.
Also submitting to a new challenge for me As You See It where their challenge theme is water but also speed--make a card in less than 10 minutes. I did it with a few seconds to spare.
But my desk is sure a mess. It is a small work space and I usually clean as I go.
And just for fun, while I was playing with the turtles, I made another with this same sketch.
I'll be adding both of these cards to my stash for Send A Smile 4 Kids
I love both these cards. I can't believe you made the first one in under 10 minutes. That's fast cardmaking! I don't think any card I made in under 10 minutes would look that good. Those turtles are so cute. I haven't made a turtle card in a long time, but you've inspired me to get my turtle dies out again.
ReplyDeleteI have been having fun fussy cutting these turtles too lately Donna so am thrilled to see them on your cards! I love the little pearls of water falling from the watering can on the first one - so fun! Thanks for embracing our speed challenge this week over at As You See It - hope to see you play along with us again soon!
ReplyDeleteSo fun, Donna - that turtle was the perfect choice for a our speedy water challenge, lol - good eye! Not sure I would take on fussy cutting for a speed challenge - brava! Your "after" desk looks just like mine, too, lol. Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, a speed challenge gives us a real excuse for a messy desk! Love those little drops of water trickling from the can. Well done on joining in with us on a speed challenge as it's not for the faint-hearted! I hope we see you back with us. :-)
ReplyDeleteThose little turtles ARE cute, aren't they! How fun that you made the first one watering her plants, very clever! And yes, speed stamping means not worrying about the clean-as-you-go thing! So happy you played with us at As You See It this week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great interpretation of our theme Donna - I love that turtle watering her plants! Great time too! Thanks for rising to our speed challenge at As You See It
