The challenge at The Card Concept is forest friends.
Yesterday in the mail I received some Christmas cards from a charity organization. You probably get them too--cards, calendars, address labels. Well of course I wouldn't think of sending a factory produced Christmas card but there were some cute images I was sure I could use in a recycled way. So here are my forest friends receiving their good little animal gifts from Santa.
To make it really "woodsy" I used a Kraft card base run through Big Shot with Sizzix wood grain impression folder. The white also has the wood grain impression. I anchored the white banner with some Kraft cardstock run through the crimper.. I fussy cut the image from one of the cards and glued it to the white. The striped banner is from my scrap file. Believe (from Little Yellow Bicycle) is die cut 3 times and stacked. It looked like it needed something more so I added bling with a gold glitter punched star. Can't go wrong adding bling, right?
I followed the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous card, and I love the way you re-purposed the image from another card. "Believe" was the perfect sentiment, too! Thanks for sharing with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
