For a friend who likes to sail
The sailboat stamp is Inkadinkadoo stamped and fussy cut. The sentiment is SU. I used SU bitty banner punch for the flags which are SU scraps. It reminds me of a mast on a sailboat with colorful flags flying. I couldn't leave the top with so much white space so I put a punched cloud, sponged with light blue, in the "sky". Do you have trouble leaving lots of white space on a card? I really admire those who can pull that look off but sometimes I just can't let it be!
I used the sketch from Fab Friday for inspiration.

I'm with you on the white space thing. I admire cards with lots of it, but when I try to make a card like that I get uncomfortable with all the white space and feel like my card looks unfinished. Love your card - with or without the cloud. :)
ReplyDeleteDonna - what a creative interpretation of the sketch! The three banners are adorable. I love white space (and it's a struggle when I can leave it), but that cloud is too adorable. Thanks for playing along with this Fab Friday sketch challenge.
ReplyDeleteThe boating theme is so cute! The flags totally look like a mast! Great job on our sketch! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
ReplyDeleteVery cute card! I love how you used the flags on a pole and made a little boat! So adorable! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Fab Friday!
