I love butterflies and use them on a lot of cards. So with this challenge from Time Out Challenges
how could I not play along?
I opted to use the pink colors and go with just 1 dramatic butterfly. This was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.
The card base is Melon Mambo from SU. I sponged on some Melon Mambo ink with a Tim Holtz stencil and also used it for the SU sentiment. The butterfly is a die cut from SU. It is cut from marble paper by ms. sparkle & co. I found it at JoAnn's for $2 for 24 sheets in a 5x7 pack. You can't see it here but I coated the butterfly with clear Wink of Stella for some shimmer.

  1. Stunning card, Donna! Love that big, bold, beautiful butterfly on your subtle background.

  2. That marble paper is gorgeous and so good for our challenge. I love that soft stencil use behind, I am so pleased we inspired you. Thanks for joining Time Out

  3. I love how you incorporated all the colours of the butterflies in the inspiration photo into one with that pretty marbled paper. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Jill
