I am enjoying working with the vintage look papers from 49 and Market. Both of these have a Crumb Cake base.I added a strip of wood paper to the patterned paper. The square picture is one of the cut-outs included with the papers. I winked the flowers and the dragonfly then added black Nuvo Drops to the dragonfly and iridescent gems to the flowers. The sentiment is an old, unlabled one.
This one is for Sketch Saturday
The second card with the same papers and similar design is from Try a Sketch on Tuesday
This one has a blue strip from the same paper pack and then a wood strip over it. It has the square in the center with an SU stamped sentiment and 3 square silver adhesives. The butterflies are from Simple Stories ephemera pack of butterflies.
Here is the sketch
Donna, both of your cards are so pretty... I fell in love with the card you submitted to TSOT with the butterflies! Your background paper is so beautiful, and your use of the blue and woodgrain papers over the background are perfect for our TSOT sketch!! Thank you for sharing your creativity and card with us!!! -Donna

ReplyDeleteI love both of these cards. The wood grain paper and the blue paper create a perfect contrast. I love seeing how you interpret sketches. You're always so creative, and I learn a lot from you.
