Serene Scene

Whoosh!! Did you feel that? January and February have just whooshed by. The last Tuesday in February and time for a new sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. This sketch comes with a little twist--use brush strokes as those two rectangles on the bottom.

A lot of versatility with this one. Feel free to change the shape or orientation.

I switched from landscape to portrait.

The reason I did portrait was the lightly scripted paper. I only had this one piece left from the Forever Love DSP by Stampin' Up! My "brush strokes" are made with the SU! Waterfront stamps to make the water along the bottom in 2 tones of blue. The trees on the square are from the same set. I think what I like about this stamp set is the watercolor look. The sentiment is unlabeled in my birthday greetings box.

Inside is a computer made sentiment and more water across the bottom.

I hope you are inspired by our new sketch and find some time this week to create and share.

Triple Fun Fold

This was such a fun card to make. I found inspiration from Pintrest by Jumping into Stamping. Patricia's card was a pink Easter card. To make mine masculine for Cardz 4 Guyz I used an animal print and a giraffe in a peek-a-boo circle.

The double sided paper is SU! and the giraffe is from Whimsey Stamps. Inside is a double fold.

Flowers for You

I found the inspiration for my card on Pintrest but didn't save it and of course you can never go back and find anything. So if this is yours, let me know and I will give you credit.

The base is Daffodil Yellow, then a mat of Old Olive. then a mat of white with the Painted Texture SU! E/F. I die cut some squares and found a coordinating dotted paper which satisfies the challenge this month from Let's Craft and Create to use polka dots and/or stripes. The turtle is die cut from one of the sheets in the Rain or Shine DSP. I added 2 little yellow stars and a green dot for accents.
Also entering at Can You Handle The Pressure challenge to use and E/F with an option of circles or squares.

I love making Easter cards. I like the pretty pastel spring colors and the cute Easter images. So I have an Easter card again this week for the new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Here is the sketch from Melissa.

My interpretation is pretty literal.

The playful duck is retired from Stampin' Up!. I picked different patterns and colors from the scrap box. Tied a yellow ribbon and added a sentiment tag.

I have already sent this off in a box of Easter cards to Send a Smile 4 Kids

I hope you have some time to create this week and share at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Come by and see what the design team has created.

Happy Easter

Welcome to Tuesday Morning Sketches and a brand new sketch by Mellissa.

I changed the heart to an Easter egg. The sketch is for inspiration. You can use any shapes just as long as the sketch can be reckonized.

The blue card stock is Balmy Blue from Stampi' Up! embossed with a Cuttlebug E/F. The other papers are from the scraps. The Easter Egg is a purchased die cut from The Dollar Store popped up on a foam square. The sentiment is also SU.

Check out all the design team for more inspiration. I hope you find some time this week to play along with us and share your creation.

Heart of Gold

This week on Cardz 4 Guyz the prompt is Love.

The base is Kraft. The design paper grids are actually gold. I used a rectangle deckle die for the red. The heart is a brushed gold. Adding a jute ribbon adds another masculine element. It is finished off with a gold brad. I left off a sentiment. I have already made my husband's valentine so I might keep this one for an anniversary card.

I used the sketch from Try a Sketch on Tuesday. I switched the circle for a rectangle. I think that gives a more masculine feel.

Here is the card I made for my husband. I guess it also counts as Love for Cardz 4 Guyz

The stencil is Tim Holtz called burlap. The hearts and circles are dies from Stampin" UP1

Tall Bunny

Here it is into February already. I have been working on Easter Cards to send to my contact for Send A Smile 4 Kids. I know it is early for Easter but they need a lead time of at least a month to get them distributed to the hospitals.

It is the last of the designer's favorite card at Tuesday Morning Sketches This week is Tammy's favorite

As I was making this card

I thought how much it resembled Tammy's favorite sketch. I think the sketch was designed to be a slimline but you can make it any size you want.

That adorable bunny is Stamping Bella. I colored him with pastel shades. The papers are from SU. It was looking a little plain so I added a scalloped edge in purple--because the button on the bow is purple. Then decided it needed more dressing up so added grass to look like he is hunting for eggs to put in his basket. I was successful in including all the spring colors: yellow, pink, purple, green, blue (lightly shading on the eyelids).

My twofer is more true to the sketch.

The floral spray if from SU's Nature Harvest. The flower pot is a die cut from Kokorosa.  The sentiment is also SU. The background paper is from the scrap box.

Here is my original

I hope you find time to create something this week and share with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches
