Taking a break today from fall and Christmas. It is so dreary, cold and rainy here today, I decided some summer flowers would be in order.
I'm using some paper left from SU's DSP Peaceful Poppies. The strips across the center are from the backsides of the floral papers. I added a scrap of vellum behind the focus point to soften the brightness of the paper. The leaves and berries are from SU Forever Fern set. The poppy is cut from the paper. The sentiment is in the Woven Heirlooms set by SU.
This is the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches
So pretty.

I’m with you on needing a little summer year round!! I love that you used vellum for your layer-very pretty!! Thanks so much for creating with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!
ReplyDeleteNow this card would brighten anyone's day. Poppies are such a great flower to use on cards. They look so delicate, but have intense colors. Love how you used the vellum, too.
ReplyDeleteThis is a cheerful card, I love the poppies and the vellum works well to draw the poppy and sentiment to the front.
