Remember the yummy orange sherbet/ice cream treats? Dreamsicles. Do they still make them? As I try to avoid too much sugar these days, I haven't really looked for them. But with the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown being "Sugar High", I think a card Dreamsicle is pretty safe. These are a big rage on Pinterest. I've even seen them made with paint chips.
The card is cut down from an Ombre card from Paper Studio. Whole box in 6 different colors found at JoAnn's on sale. Take a biteout of the corner with a scallop punch. I used a confetti stamp for the overall pattern. SU for the sentiment and then an old unlabeled stamp of candles. Add a stick inside and tie with a pretty bow.
Here, the whole card is the Dreamsicle but I can see the idea used for just the front design of a card also.

I know the kids will love these so I will have to make some in other "flavors".
This is such a fun idea! I might have to give this a try. I make cards for my daughter's kids to give to friends, and this one would be a great addition to her stash.
ReplyDeleteYes, they still make those Orange creamsicle and they are as yummy as always. But my favorite was vanilla twin pops. Can't find those any more. Thanks for sharing your cute card in the Tuesday Throwdown Sugar High Challenge. Debi
