A new challenge at Always Playing With Paper has the inspirational sketch
And The Paper Players challenge is Fall Thank You cards
So here is my twofer--though this time it is two challenges not two cards.
I have to admit, I loved DJ's (who is guest designer for the challenge this week) card so much I pretty much CASEd it.The DP's here are from Stampin" Up from last year. They are called sweater weather. If you click on the picture for a close up, you can see the sweater texture in that orange. I made an "autumn moon" by punching out a circle in Kraft cardstock and sponging some orange on the border. The 3 tabs are from the same cardstock punched with SU Bitty Banner Punch. The thanks is cut from the orange DP with framelit die from SU. I die cut 3 words and stacked them to give more dimension. I thought I was done but something seemed missing. So I went searching in my embellisments and found the square gold brads and added them to each banner.
Oh, BTW here is DJ's card

Donna, your cards are perfect! I love the color combo and the fun plaids! So happy you joined us at The Paper Players and The Challenge this week! XX
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Great layering and beautiful color choices. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players, hope to see you again soon!
ReplyDeleteI love both your cards, Donna. I think those little square brads on the first one were a great touch, but I really like the second one, too. This is a great sketch to use. The layers add so much interest.
ReplyDeleteThank you, my friend, for CASEing my autumn card! I love the cozy sweater quality of yours in those warm colors and the addition of the square brads was inspired! I think I may just go add the same touch to mine. If there's one thing I have a lot of (cough) it's brads so I love the chance to use some! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteBe still my 'plaid loving' heart! I love the colors you used - so warm & soft and definitely "cozy sweater warm". It was a pleasure visiting your blog. Thanks for joining in the fun at The Challenge :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, love the colours you used.
ReplyDeleteGreat 'case'ing. Love the colors! Pretty card. Thanks for playing The Challenge with us!
