I recently received a pack of Holiday cards from a charity group. I don't contribute to them but they keep sending me these cards. There are always some of the pack that I can upcycle. This is one.
The snowman was fussy cut from one of the cards as well as the sentiment. I used a Cuttlebug snow fall E/F on the blue paper and rubbed it with a white ink pad. Picking up the red of the scarf, I backed the blue with a red and then put it onto a white card base. I added some rhinestone to the snowflake centers.
I think upcycling cards is a fantastic thing to do! This one turned out great. I haven't gotten any charity cards in the mail this year. Lots of requests from nonprofits, some with return address labels, but no cards.
ReplyDeleteGreat card with the bold recycled snowman!

This is awesome Donna! I just upcycled a few cards myself. Hubby is very generous and these people keep sending me cards which I hate to throw away so what I don't use I give to my kids and to the church. Love the added touch of sparkle! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Can You Handle the Pressure challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
