I know, it is early to start on Valentine's. I am trying to come up with a design for a class I am doing for a women's group at church. They want a demonstration of card making and want to make Valentine's for our nursing home people. I saw this sketch at Let's Craft and Create. I think it will be easy enough for them to put together. This one looks appropriate for a man. Maybe some pinks, vellum, and feminine paper for the ladies.
Sorry for the tech issues. I go back to the blog and the sketch has disappeared.
This check paper is Gingham Cottage by Stampin" Up!. There is a narrow strip of metallic gold in the background. The sentiment is an old one by SU! Punched hearts for accents and to fill up some of the blank space. Then I sponged around the edge so it would show up on the white background.
What a fun card design and great papers, too. I think you are right, it will be an easy one for the women's group to create and perfect across genders! Thanks for playing along with our Let's Craft & Create Challenge this month. Cathy LC&C DT
ReplyDeleteThe queen of sketches strikes again! LOL You're so good at using them. I think this will be a great demo card. You could use some gold hearts, too, to match the ribbon, or maybe sponge some gold ink around your white panel. Of course, if you give the class participants too many options, they may get all flustered. I know I do when I am faced with lots of possibilities.
