Graduation

Good Morning. Tuesday again? And April is over? That is 4 months already gone this year. It seems time just flies by.

At Tuesday Morning Sketches this week we are playing with this fun sketch.

I find it hard to believe my oldest granddaughter is 18 already and graduating from high school this month.  How can she be that old when I haven't aged a bit? HaHaHa!

I like to personalize grad cards in the school's colors. Her school colors are blue and gold. Here is the card I made for her.

I wanted to use the unbranded grad cap E/F for the background so had to change the orientation of my card to portrait. The stars are all dies from SU. The sentiment is an old one from my collection. I added a grad cap sticker to one of the star points.

While I had all of the supplies out, I made another card for one of the local high school grads. Several local schools consolidated in 1976 which was the bicentennial year so they selected the colors of  red/white/blue and team name of Stars.

  1. Fabulous grad cards. I like the idea of using stars as a design element, so I think I'll make a couple with that in mind. You also reminded me that I'm pretty sure I have a grad cap embossing folder. I will look for that tomorrow and maybe make a couple of cards with it. I make them for the thrift store as I only had a great niece who graduated this year, and her card has already been mailed.
