Elf on the Shelf came after my kids were grown. My grandkids do enjoy the tradition. Now the teenagers move the Elf for their little sister. I think Mom is relieved about that because she kept forgetting.
Every Christmas card collection needs at least one Elf card.
I used some scrap pieces of paper. The Elf is from Recollections. I stamped, colored and die cut it, then posed him on a circle that was lightly sponged with pale blue. The sentiment is from SU Itty Bitty Christmas.
I am using the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches
So cute! Love your card, Donna. It was such a good idea to put your little elf on a white circle. It focuses the attention on him and gives him the perfect backdrop. My kids didn't get to experience elf on the shelf either, but some of my grandkids did.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great take on the sketch! I love your background paper. It goes so well together and perfect for that elf! Mt kids didn't get elf on a shelf either but I have a brand new set for our twins grandkids that just turned 5. Not sure if we should do it here when they come of give it to Mom and Dad and let them loose it in the mess they live in. They have such a difficult time finding anything there. Have a super weekend!
ReplyDeleteAn adorable elf and I'm the same, no elf for my kids either.
ReplyDeleteHi Donna! Love the elf! Someone recently told me that they got so tired of hiding their elf, they put him in a mason jar with a label saying he had to quarantine for 2 weeks. Great take on our Tuesday Morning Sketch. Thanks so much for playing! Debi DT TMS
