Happy Cows

Having fun featuring these cute cows form SU Over the Moon set.
The cow print is from the scrap stash. I added a strip of red glitter paper for some sparkle. The labels dies are from Spellbinders. I stamped the cow and colored it with Stampin" Blends. The sentiment too is a stamp, trimmed and backed with black. I'll leave it to your imagination as to what the cow is dreaming. After 3 rainy, gloomy days, personally I am dreaming of warmth and sun.
I was inspired by the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches

Here is another cow card from the same set

Love those bright red rain boots. They just make me smile? Could sure use those around here lately.

For the Gamers

My Favorite Things has the coolest dies and stamps for the video gamers in your life. See it here. It is out of stock right now but you can get on a notification list.
This is for a 15 year old boy. I know he is going to be so impressed I could make this. The card base is Lemon Lime Twist from SU. The black zig-zag is washi tape. The gamer die comes in 2 sizes (this is the smaller one) plus dies to cut out all the control buttons. I cut the buttons in all the primary colors so I would have a variety to put on the controller. And now I have a bunch left over for the next time I use this theme.

Hearts

I thought I was done with Valentine supplies and stamps but had to get them back out for a chance to play in  Darnell's Twofer Card Challenge. Congratulations Darnell on your 2 year blogaversary. Always fun playing in your challenge.
I chose heart dies rather than stamps.
The first one is to honor all those poor animals and people who are being relocated during the devastating Australia fires. Prayers for their safety. My cutie Koala an unlabled stamp and the hugs is from Hero Arts. The koala stamp actually looks like this:
I stamped it on a scrap of white, colored it and fussy cut just the koala. Then stamped the hugs on a stitched square die cut from white and glued the koala at the top of hugs. The heart balloon is an SU die. I used clear glitter glue on the heart for a little sparkle. The red/white cord is from the accumulated scraps of twine and ribbon box.
The twofer, as suggested by Darnell that hearts can be used for wedding cards
I love the elegance of black and white cards for weddings. I used a black card base then an SU embossing folder for the background stars on the white mat.  No label on the Mr & Mrs. stamped on a scrap white strip.  I added punched borders of black with a Fiskar punch. Then used the same die to cut 2 white glitter paper hearts for accents.
Hope you all get a chance to play along.
Pixie's Crafty Workshop Snippets challenge is back. So entering there. Playing for the prize too of those beautiful Christmas ornaments

Lipstick

Kind of in a card making frenzy the last couple of days. Making up for taking time off over the holidays. My stash has taken a serious hit lately so I am trying to get some cards made ahead. Here's one for the birthdays coming up.
The DSP is a retired product from SU. The swipes of color kind of remind me of lipstick samplers perfect for the sentiment. The ducks and sentiment are from Rosie's Roadshow. I did the top one "another birthday?" on the computer.
I kind of, sort of, followed the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. with a little flip and rotate. Glad your back with your wonderful inspirations.

Use those Scraps

Another post to catch up what I am doing.  I have been using up a lot of scraps the past 2 weeks. Although if I showed you my scrap box, you would never be able to tell I made a dent in it.
This one is for the sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. So glad they are back from vacation. I needed some new inspiration.
The papers are from a 6x6 pad of papers I purchased at Michael's but I cannot remember the manufacturer. I added some gold thread behind the circle. Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla from SU are used as background. Not one bit of stamping on this one. I can use it for any occasion.
2 more made from scraps of the same papers
That circle with the leaves is a die from Simon Says. Sentiment from SU. The circle on the right is SU. Sentiment also SU stamped on circle and die cut.
That is the end of the flower print scraps. Not enough of anything left to use.
Here is the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

More Valentines

Lots of love going on in my craft room the past few days.
These are the Valentines I made for my grandkids and husband.
For DH:
My husband owns a blue truck so I thought this is perfect for him. Stamps are all from SU, images colored with SU blenders. Not only a load of love but enough to spill over.
These for 2 granddaughters
One for a preteen and one for a 5 year old. I bet you can figure out which is which, especially if you have a young girl in your life. They are all about the princesses, mermaids, and unicorns.
Another for the teenage granddaugher:

And the most difficult, for the 2 grandsons:
The left one is for our basketball player. The shoes are stamps from SU. The right one is for the 14 year old who loves Star Wars and gaming. I found the red Sith picture through Google.

Valentines

I am making Valentines for my grandkids. Thought I was done after making 5 but forgot one for the new baby girl we are expecting the end of January. This digi image and sentiment by From the Heart reminds me of the rhyming game played with baby toes. I know she will not remember but maybe her parents will keep it and share later.
The red cardstock and PP are from SU. I colored the pig with SU blenders. She smeared a little lipstick on her mouth as little girls are wont to do. The candy kiss is colored with a red star gel pen like the red foil wrappers. The heart at the bottom is coated with clear glitter Stickles to add some sparkle. Inside just says Happy Valentine's Day with 3 little hears glued on.
I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!. Instead of oval, I chose a round shape as I thought it might be more appropriate for a fat little piggy.
