Fun Fold

I had not heard of joy fold card until I saw it on pintrest recently. I don't know why it is called joy fold unless it is because they are fun to make and fun to look at.
The papers and sentiment are Stampin" Up!. The wreath from Impression Obsession.
I am entering in challenge at Card Concept Pineapple Party
My clean and layered card was inspired by all the tropical colors in the inspiration picture.
I loved this style so much I made another in more subdued olors.
Here is a link to The Paper Pixie where I found the joy fold. Julie's card is so fun and festive. She has several photos as well as all the dimensions for cutting the papers.

More Stars

Another graduation card for a local high school student. Their school colors are red, white, and blue and team name is stars.
Papers are from stash. Die cuts from SU. Grad hat from Stampabilities, stamped, fussy cut, and popped up with foam tape. The sentiment is from The Angel Company. I used a Sizzix IF to do stars background for a little dimension.

Bright Stars

This month's Twofer Challenge from Darnell is Stars.

At this time of the year, when stars are mentioned, I think of the local high school. Their team name is Stars and colors are Red, White, and Blue. We are in the midst of basketball tournaments. And graduation will be here soon.  I usually need a few grad cards so my twofer starts out with the grad card.
The star paper is from my stash. Honestly this paper has been hoarded since my kids were in high school in the early 1990s. I must have purchased a bunch of it. I bring it out every year for the grad cards.  The sentiment is a NBUS sale item  from Technique Tuesday. The big sparkly white star is a die from SU. The little star border is from a hand punch. The grad hat is Stampabilities fussy cut and popped up with foam tape. I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches I have this done so quickly because I saw the preview yesterday on facebook.

The twofer card
is for my stash for Send A Smile 4 Kids The star background are all stamps in the same Technique Tuesday set as the sentiment. Colorful stripe paper is from the scrap heap. Same die cut star this time in red sparkle paper.

Loves Wood

My husband loves woodworking, He has made furniture and done wood carving. He currently mentors a junior high student working with him in the wood shop. Keeps him out of my hair-LOL
So this is an appropriate Valentine for him.
The wood texture paper is from a Ms. Sparkle paper pad sold at JoAnn's. I die cut 2 sparkly hearts to hang from the white ribbon. I don't remember who makes the love die as I have put all of my word dies on magnet sheets in the same container. No labels.
