Sunshine

The challenge at TIME OUT
'If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely'
made me think of the yellow Ombre cards by Paper Studio purchased at Hobby Lobby.

And the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown: Black and White and 1 other color.

I die cut a frame and used the negative to mask for stamping the dandelions in black and sparkled them up with Wink of Stella and rhinestones.  The sentiments are from Stamping' Up! Sunshine sayings.
Inside, I did a sentiment on the computer and trimmed it a little off center so I could add more dandelions.
I sponged on some Daffodil Delight ink and then coated with Wink of Stella.
I love this layout so while all the supplies were out, I made a fall color one for Thanksgiving.

Witch

I am starting on Halloween cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids.
The black/white paper is retired by SU. The spiders paper is from my scrap pile. This cute little witch, an old one from Michael's bargain bin is just too cute to be scary. Perfect for little kids.
The sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches with the added twist of stamping the focal image.

Deck The Halls

I am combining this sketch from The Paper Players

And the colors from this week's picture inspiration from Just Us Girls

And the Christmas in July theme from Casual Fridays
I know the Just Us Girls photo is summery but I love bright red and lime green for Christmas so went ahead with that theme.  The papers are Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist from Stamping' Up!. The image is a digital by From The Heart Stamps colored with pencils. I added some heat embossed gold dots made with Gorgeous Grunge stamps and Versamark. And anchored the green with some red gems.
This so reminds me of myself at Christmas. Running around trying to get decorations up and trailing a mess of gold tinsel behind me.  At least I have a Christmas card made.

Flip Flops

Back again today with another summer fun birthday card
I don't remember where I saw this sentiment but I have kept it my computer for a long time. Bring it out occasionally when I need a summer style card.
The card base is SU's Soft Sky with the wavy impression folder. The strips are all from the scrap file. The flip flops stamp says Lockheart Co.
I was inspired by the photo challenge at The Paper Players
I hope you all get some fun in the water this summer. And have a flip kind of day!

Again I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

"Hoppy" Birthday

Fun little birthday card today
I used the new wavy EF from SU on Sky Blue card base. the DPs are all the Naturally Eclectic papers by SU. I made the sentiment on the computer. It was just a lucky fluke for the scalloped circle to line up with the waves. Love it when that happens! I popped up the circle with deminsionals. The frog is an old SU stamp, stamped on lemon lime twist paper, highlighted with a colored pencils and fussy cut.  And every frog just needs google eyes.
Inside is another old SU sentiment and another frog.

I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

Get Well

Working on my stash of get well cards today.  Seems I have sent a lot of them lately.
The nurse is from Dearie Dolls Digital Stamps. I used the pre-colored one. I don't remember where the sentiment is from. Probably found on Pinterest. I did it on the computer. Card base and DP are from SU.
The layout is from the sketch at Always Playing With Paper
I did another computer generated message inside.
A fun cheery card for anyone especially a surgical patient.

In The Pink

Love digital stamps that are pre-colored. They save a lot of time. And when they are free like from Dearie Doll Digi Stamps, even better.

And when paired with this easy sketch from Case This Sketch, you get a card in under 10 minutes. Great for a last minute need as I now have 30 minutes before the mail delivery person arrives.
The sentiment is done on the computer.

One-Layer

Just Us Girls trend challenge this week is "blending"
And Tuesday Throwdown challenge is "One Layer"
I did not do the blending myself. It's like why should I bake my own cookies when the bakery down the street does them so well. This card base is from a box of Ombre cards by Paper Studio. They do it so well and it was a bargain at half price at Hobby Lobby. I used an old unlabeled wheat stamp and a sentiment from SU stamped in Crumb Cake ink. I added a little texture with ribbon of raffia.

Joy, Peace, Love

Joy, Peace, Love, Sounds like a hippy saying--if you are old enough to remember those times.
But I don't think my snowmen are hippies, just spreading Christmas wishes.

The image is From the Heart digital, colored with pencils. The papers are from the new Naturally Eclectic DSP from Stampin' Up! I made the snow under the image with a pale blue marker and coated it with glitter glue. The snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch.
This is for the sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches with the added twist of Christmas in July. Go check them out. They are celebrating 8 years with some great prizes.

Paint Chips

Happy Independence Day to all my American friends.  Our town had their 4th of July celebration on July 1. That just doesn't seem right. But that leaves today with nothing to do but get crafty.
On Pinterest, I have been seeing all kinds of crafts using paint sample chips. I picked up a bunch at Lowes and have been playing around with them.
This sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches is just perfect for using some of those paint chips.
My paint samples are longer and just seemed better oriented in portrait style.

The butterflies are on DSP from the Serene Scenery paper stack from Stamping" Up!. Their new Lemon Lime Twist is the card base. Butterflies and punch are old ones also from SU.
The second one has flower with die cut from Memory Box.

Celebrate

Celebrating the 400th challenge at Just Us Girls blog. Congratulations to them.
I used Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade as well as stamps from Stamping' Up!
I left the inside blank so it could be used for a birthday or a congratulations of some sort. I will be adding this to the stash for Send A Smile 4 Kids as well as entering their Birthday Cards for Kids challenge.

I CASed this card from the very talented Megan at I Teach Stamping. I have learned a lot of techniques from her blog.
