Pokeman

My grandson will soon be 10 years old. One of his interests is Pokeman. I have to admit, I know nothing about Pokeman. I wanted to make a card specific to his interest so turned to Pintrest for some inspiration. You can find anything there. I found an idea from Angie to make a Pokeman Ball.Go check out the nice video she made on the sizes of circles and punches to use.
Here is what I came up with
For the inside, I found some pictures of Pokeman characters online to go with the sentiment.
To make the ball, I used several circle framelets and punches from Stamping" Up!. The letters are from Tim Holtz die cut with shiny silver paper and layered with 2 layers of black to give them dimension.
I am actually CASEing 2 cards with this one. This is also for  Global Design Project challenge to CASE Krista's card seen here

encouragement

I have been working with the  6x6 paper pack Cherry On Top by SU for several days. There are always pieces trimmed off and in an effort to clear the desk, I decided to use some of the trimmed scraps laying around for a quick CAS card.
The sentiment is from SU's Water Color Words. I die cut a yellow star and coated it with glitter glue after attaching.  I think this will be a great sentiment to use for encouraging someone or maybe a thank you.

Donuts

I have a young runner friend whose passion is donuts.  I think she runs so she can eat donuts. This seems the most appropriate birthday card for her.
These fun papers are in the Cherry on Top paper stack from SU. I did a sentiment on the computer and die cut it in a circle shape. After backing it with a blue circle, I took a circle punch and took a "bite" out of the "donut". I used gel glitter pens to make sprinkles on the white circle and then coated it with Wink of Stella.
I am submitting this to Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge of anything for kids. Although this one is going to my friend, I will make a duplicate to send to the kids.
Also submitting to Global Design Project sketch challenge, rotating it to portrait.

Attitude

I am having so much fun with the Hey Chick stamp set from SU. Yesterday I said this chick had a bad hair day. Today I can see it with an attitude, especially with this sentiment also from SU.
This time I used Prismacolor pencils on the chick. The "chicken wire" background is made by using a brayer and Basic Grey ink over a hexagon impression folder. Just lay it over the white piece and gently rub. Don't need to run it through Big Shot. I can't remember what blog I saw this on, if it is yours please let me know and I will credit it.
The ribbon and rickrack are both sparkly with glitter.
Can't you see this used for a teenager? Add a question mark after seriously will give it a whole new meaning.

I'll be adding this to my collection for Send A Smile 4 Kids

Ballerina

I am having a very productive day.  This is my third post today. Hubby is out of the house and out of town for the day so I am just enjoying my craft room. Catching up on some challenges. I am stocking up some cards to send to Send a Smile 4 Kids. I think some little girl will love this ballerina mouse.
The image is a free digi from Dearie Doll DigiStamps. They are free, just copy and paste to a document. They come colored or b/w so you can personalize with your own coloring. I used the pre-colored one here. The sentiment is a digi of From The Heart.
The sketch is from Case This Sketch

Bad Hair Chickie

Talk about a bad hair day--what about this chickie?
This is from the Stampin' Up!'s free Sale-a-Bration set Hey, Chick. I stamped it on watercolor paper, used watercolor pencils to color and the Aqua Painter to wet and blend.  The DP is from SU Cherry on Top paper stack. I did the sentiment on the computer. A little polka dot Washi tape anchors the image.
This is a NBUS stamp so I am entering again in Darnell's NBUS challenge, although this one is not coloring on Kraft. I really want to win that Mini Misti that she is giving away.
I also used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

Bunny Hugs

Just an easy card to share today using a From The Heart digi and sentiment. I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and added Wink of Stella to the heart. The designer paper is from SU Cherry on Top paper stack, layered on a Kraft mat and then on a white card base.

Coloring on Kraft

New NBUS challenge by Darnell is coloring on Kraft. I have never tried that. Coloring and shading are a challenge for me as I am still practicing with the new Prismacolor pencils I gifted to myself for Christmas. The flower stamp is NBUS also from the Sunshine Sayings set from SU. I colored the lowers with 3 shades of pink pencils, using the blending pencil with each new color.  On top, I highlighted with a white pencil on some of the petals. It looked kind of dull so I sparkled it up with clear gems as flower centers.

The other big challenge here was getting the image from my phone, to the laptop, edited and copied to the blog. I definitely need a class in working with pictures in iMac.

Also entering at Just Us Girls with the challenge of stamping all over.

Coloring

My SU demonstrator sent me some sample of the new coloring pages from SU. I know they are all the rave right now but coloring all of that detail would drive me crazy. So I found a way to use the paper leaving it mostly black and white.
I went with a cameo effect and just colored the smaller vertical piece with Prismacolor pencils--just a quick color in, no shading or much details picking up the colors in the stripe behind which is from SU Cherry on Top designer pack. The sentiment is from a group of children's sayings I found at Michael's. If the recipient likes to color, she can fill in the rest.

Cold

CASology new challenge word is
and how appropriate as I have an after holidays cold. Such a bummer but I am glad I got through all the festivities healthy. So I guess you could say I made a card for myself.
The image and sentiment are From the Heart digis that I colored with pencils. The card base is pool party from SU and a side strip from my scrap stash. This chickie is about how I feel so I guess I will just stay home and do some craft therapy today.
