Dandelions

If your are experiencing Spring in your area, I bet you also have dandelions. I think the yellow colors are so pretty against the bright green grass. But soon, they sprout their puffballs and blow all over the neighborhood and you end up with a whole yard full of dandelions. They actually don't have much of a chance in my lawn. My DH sprays the heck out of them.

This dandelion stamp is from Stampendous, stamped with Versamark and embossed with white. The little circles blowing away at the top are actually a bubbles stamp from SU, but I can't remember what set as I pulled it out and put it in with a bunch of grunge stamps.  I centered the DSP (SU) on a white die cut frame I think was made by Sizzix--a long time ago.
Tied together with white picot trim satin ribbon that mimics the frame design and fastened to a Night of Navy card. 3 shiny sequins add some sparkle but they are hard to see on the navy background. They do shine IRL.
I left off a sentiment so I can use it for whatever occasion.
The sketch is by Tuesday Morning Sketches. Congrats to them for their 500th sketch. Go check them out and enter your creation. There are some special prizes this week.
This sketch is so close to CAS(E) this Sketch, I am entering there also.

Graduate

Almost time to celebrate graduations. I usually make cards with the graduates school colors. This one is for a local school with black and gold colors.
I had the patterned paper in my scrap box. The 2 side strips of glitter paper I found on sale at JoAnn's yesterday. The sentiment is SU. A QACAS card easy to multi-produce.
The layout is the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches
And a twofer with the same sketch.
I found the little chalkboard at JoAnn's also. The 2 grad caps are a Stampability stamp. 3 little gold glitter punched star for embellishments,

Giraffe Twofer

When Darnell announced the newest Twofer Challenge, the first animal stamp I thought of was a cute little giraffe by DeNami Design. Giraffes are one of my favorite zoo animals. They are so graceful.
Here is my twofer
This one has a sticks and straw background paper from my stash. Those giraffes may just stick their heads out and have a snack!  I stamped 3 giraffes, die cut them with square frames of Daffodil Delight. The sentiment is unlabeled.

The baby card has SU gingham papers. The colors are Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lime Twist.
Appropriate when you don't know the sex of the anticipated baby.  Or will work for boy or girl. I used this fun sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

Smile!

The great thing about handmade cards is they can be designed according to the interests of the recipient.  My son-in-law is a photographer and also has a collection of old cameras. I think this DSP from SU! is exactly what is needed for his birthday card.
The stripe across the top is the reverse side of the camera print. I did the sentiment on the computer. I have seen it on Pintrest but don't know who makes a stamp of this.  I added a twine "camera strap" to the top of the square. You can't really see it here but I added Wink of Stella to the flashes for a little sparkle.

Sherbet

The gingham colors of SU's Gingham Gala papers remind me of sherbet. Pretty and bright for another Mother's Day card,
All the products on this one are from SU except the twine--it was a $1.00 special at Michael's.  Love that new Butterfly Gala bundle. I haven't had a lot of luck in the past with layered stamping but this one is easy. And it is great to have a punch so no fussy cutting.
This is for the Send A Smile 4 Kids collection.

Houses

The challenge this week at Just Us Girls is houses.
I was inspired by all the colors of the houses. I used a birdhouses stamp by Uptown Rubber Stamps
They are colored with Stampin" Blends. The stripe background is from the scrap box. The sentiment is from SU. All tied up with a sparkly blue ribbon.
Another for my Mother's Day cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids.

Mother's Day

Time to do some Mother's Day cards for the hospitalized kids to choose and give to their Mothers.
Send A Smile 4 Kids is such a great organization collecting cards and redistributing them to hospitals.

I chose Sea Foam green and Highland Heather for the base. The premade label is from my stash.  The image is an old one from SU.  I colored on the stamp with markers and then stamped it on the label. I love the soft effect of this technique. The sentiment is also unlabled. I am so bad about taking stamps from the original packaging. I put all my Mother's Day stamps in one case.

Embossed Butterflies

I have finished the Easter cards for the grandchildren and now making Mother's Day cards for the co-op where I sell cards.
I am playing Tic-Tac-Toe with The Paper Players using die-cut, embossing, and floral.
The card base is SU's Highland Heather. The EF is by Sizzix. The flower is die cut with a flower from Botanical Blooms with Butterfly Botanicals DSP. The leaves are a SU punch. The sentiment is an old unlabled one stamped in a die cut oval. 3 purple gems add some sparkle.

Also entering at Just Us Girls
And using the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches substituting a flower for the butterfly.
Inside I used a sentiment from my home Hallmark program and added some purple voile ribbon.

Edit: I have to say I HATE all the extra steps with the new Inlinkz security stuff.
