Cute Ducks

I have a fun little card to share today using the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch, changing the orientation.
These images are from Rosie's Roadshow. Check them out, they have some adorable little stamps. The basket is separate, I stamped, colored, and fussy cut it. Then turned it upside down on the duck's head. I have a sentiment that goes with these ducks saying "Slap on a little lipstick, you'll be fine" but I thought this one done on the computer would be more appropriate for Send A Smile 4 Kids anything goes challenge.
The papers are from SU. Image colored with SU Blending Pens.
Here is the sketch

Long Stem Flower

The Global Design Project for this week is CASE the designer, Brian King. I admire Brian's style of clean and simple. He has a great eye for color.
I have a Sympathy card featuring Stampin' Up! retired Sunshine Saying long stem die cut flower and a butterfly (can't remember which set it is from)
I used Kraft cardstock for the base as well as the accents. The sentiment is also SU stamped in black and punched with the large oval punch. To mimic the floral accents at the bottom of Brian's card, I used an Impression folder only on the bottom few inches of the white.

Snapshots

I have a sheet of DSP from SU with cameras all over it. I could not figure out how to design a card with it until I found a sheet of camera stickers half price at Michael's yesterday. Today I decided to do some quick one sheet wonder cards with the DSP and stickers.
The last one I did was this
I had a small piece of the paper left over and went blog hopping to find a sketch it might work with.
Freshly Made Sketches has one and I realized I had not entered anything there yet this week.
Here are the other cards I made with this DSP/sticker combo

With teens being all over Instagram these days, I think the they will like these so will be sending them to my contact for Send A Smile 4 Kids and entering in their challenge of "Anything Goes for Kids"
Sorry the pictures aren't great. These stickers are shiny and glittery so they are reflecting the light too much.

Baby Duck

My contact for Send A Smile 4 Kids requested some cards for nurses in NICU to give to parents. I hope these will work. They are all blank inside so they can write any message.
I had several pieces of the polka dot paper left over in the scrap box. Picked out the yellow and raspberry from the dots.  The duck is an old unbranded stamp. Clear sequins from JoAnn's.
The sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches
Here are 2 more with the same DP and theme, different design.

Stars Congrats

Our local high school colors are Red, White, and Blue and the team nickname is Stars. (They consolidated 7 schools into a new one in 1976--bicentennial year). So grad cards for them are in that theme.
I used a SU stencil and Real Red for the background. The Star dies are from CAS-ual Friday Stamps. The congrats is also SU.
Casual Fridays for sketch
Just Us Girls for using stencils

and Tuesday Throwdown for Crop Your Image.
I have been absent from bogland for awhile, cleaning and updating the craft room. I have to use a small guest room and it was always such a mess to clean up when I have guests. So my dear sweet talented husband made this platform bed with 3 big drawers. Now I only have out the designer paper, scrap bin, and some coloring tools.
and a shelf unit at the end
A couple of years ago, he did this desk

Not a lot of work surface but everything is organized and handy now. I especially love the ribbon holders at the right side, much better than lined up or thrown into a bin.

May the 4th Be With You

Ha1Ha! Get it? Today is May 4 and it is National Star Wars Day according to Weird Holiday Calendar. After you read my post, go check out the calendar. There are some odd ones. It is also "No Pants Day" but that is not appropriate for this blog so no card with that theme.
In honor of Star Wars and Space, I have 2 cards to share.
One with Star Wars theme paper and the other with cute little aliens.  The stamp is without a label. I did the rest of the sentiment on the computer and cut it in strips and glued in place. I used a punch from SU to make the ripped out of a notebook look on the paper notes. Some punched stars for accents.
These are from the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches

Star Wars Note

I don't keep up but I think there might be a new Star Wars movie out. So I thought the kids at Send A Smile 4 Kids would like some Star Wars theme cards. Star Wars has been around a long time so I guess it really never goes out of style.
I made one in red and one in black
The "just a note" is an unlabeled stamp. I did "from the Universe" on the computer, cut it in strips and  added it to the bottom of the note cards which are more from that Petal Passions Memories Card Pack from SU. I must be up to about 30 cards made from the components of this pack. Good deal for $10.00. The notes are punched on the border with a torn pages punch by SU. I have had this Star Wars paper for a long time and don't know who makes it.
I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and changed the oval to a rectangle.

I just checked by Weird Holidays calendar and tomorrow is Star Wars day so I am just in time to celebrate.

Art Work

My granddaughter's 12th birthday is next week. She is a very talented artist. This is her newest work.
When I saw this week photo inspiration at Just Us Girls, I immediately thought of Izzy's artwork. I will just tell her that the artwork was the inspiration for her card. She doesn't read my blog so she won't really know.
Here is my card:
Lemon-Lime Twist card base. 1"squares of SU papers. Red punched flowers accented with rhinestones.
This is also a CASE of Allison for Global Design Project challenge.

Okay, play time is over. Going to switch out my closet and get out summer clothes. I am pretty sure we have had winter's final blast here. Two days in a row of sunny and 80.
