Square Card

I don't usually do large square cards because they require a special envelope and frequently extra postage. But this sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches calls for a square.
This one was a real challenge for me. I had a medallion from the Eastern Palace Suite that my SU Demo sent to me. It was already stamped with the new Lemon Lime Twist color. Coming up with the colors to go with that is where the challenge came in.
Finally, I came up with this
And here is a snap of my desk when I was finally done with the card.
See--what I said, quite the challenge. But I am pleased with the results.

  1. Very pretty, Donna! Your design looks a bit Moroccan. My desk almost always end up a complete mess when I make a card. I think I spend just as much time cleaning up as I do card making.

  2. Love the medallion as your focal point. Your final choice in colors is amazing. My desk was in the same set as yours when I finished my card for this week. Thanks so much for joinging us again at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
