Selfies

Do you wonder what the animals in the mountains/forests do in the winter? There are not people to take their pictures so they take selfies. hahaha!
I am having so much fun with images from some note pads I bought while at Yellowstone National Park. Here is the one I took this image from
I trimmed down the image and mounted it to SU's Mossy Meadow card base. I stamped snowflakes in Pool Party. Punched out snowflakes with Martha Stewart Punch. Hand cut snow piles and sponged on some Pool Party. There is a little bitty wreath attached to the moose antler's. I added some snow marker to the mountains for texture. Then I used some Wink of Stella and glitter glue to add sparkle. The sentiment is my own, done on computer.
I am submitting this for the Christmas in July at Send A Smile 4 Kids
Here is another one that I did with this image

Selfies

When CASology posted their challenge word Journey, I knew exactly what to use. We recently returned from a journey to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. Beautiful scenery. Took lots of pictures, selfies and others.
I picked up some note pads with cute animal images knowing they would make some cute cards.
Here is the "selfie from the mountains",
The base is Mossy Meadow from SU to match the trees. I then picked up another of the greens from my scraps for the image background. I did the sentiment on the computer.

Bear Texting

We recently visited Yellowstone National Park and Grand Tetons National Park with our son and granddaughters.  Beautiful places. We were able to see some wildlife. Had a bear encounter on the highway--fortunately in our car and not on foot. I found some really cute note pads in a gift shop. This image
reminded me of my 12 yr. old granddaughter who did a lot of texting with friends while we were there. What is it with kids having phones attached to their hands all the time?
I cut the image off the paper and backed it with black. Then added scraps for the accents. A polka dot Cuttlebug embossing folder repeats the polka dots on the bear's shorts.
Here is the inside
I did that on the computer. I thought it would be appropriate to have it in text format.
Design is from the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches

Here are a couple more cards I made from the images on the pads.

Birdbrain

This is another of the "birdbrain" digis at From The Heart Stamps  I think I am in love. They are all so so cute. They just make me smile. The addition of googly eyes makes him look a bit cross-eyed.
The DP is by Creative Imaginations found at Hobby Lobby. I punched out a balloon (SU punch) to cover the stamped one. The punched one is a little larger and big enough for the sentiment. I think the sentiment is also SU. Three little chickie colored candy dots round out the edge.

Pigs In a Row

For this cue word at CASology

I got my pigs in a row.
The pigs and sentiment are from Newton's Nook. The wood fence is Serene Scenery from SU. I snipped a strip of green scrap for some grass. Pigs are colored with colored pencils. I sponged some light blue sky at the top.

Howdy

New challenge at Send A Smile 4 Kids: CAS for kids.
I did 2--one for the boys, one for the girls.
The images are from Free Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps. Mary Ellen has really great images for kids.I used the precolored ones, printed them on white cardstock. The Howdy is from Die-Versions. I actually won them previously on Send A Smile 4 Kids. So enter over there. They always have prizes. To complete the cowboy theme, I made lassos out of twine.
