The Color Purple

Purple must be the up and coming popular color this spring. Two challenges have the color purple involved.
Tuesday Throwdown uses a recipe of 1 image, 1 designer paper, and something purple.
The Card Concept wants monochromatic purple.
I did a layered CAS card with BoBunny polka dots and a fairy image (no label)
The polka dots and the scalloped oval are die cut with Stampabilities label dies and Big Shot. The whiteoval is CM and the image stamped with Staz-on black. The strip of gold bordered purple ribbon is from my stash. I colored the cutie fairy with colored pencils and star gel pens. The sentiment is from The Angel Company. 3 glued on gold metallic brads add bling.

Masculine Graduation

It is coming up on the end of school terms and time for graduation cards.
This is on a Kraft cardstock base. The map paper was pulled from my scrap bin. The grad cap and sentiment are. Stampabilities. I put burlap ribbon behind the sentiment for some texture. And popped up the circle with deminsionals. I used this sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches
I loved the sketch so much, I also did 2 other cards with it today.

Sweet Baby Girl

This is for Fab Friday sketch and for my Mom's new great granddaughter and my great grandniece.
The sentiment is SU's Baby We've Grown. I colored the shoes with pink and added lavender bows. Those bowsare made on the 10 sec. bow maker smallest setting. The polka dotted paper is Bo Bunny. Cuttlebug Swiss dot IP on the white.
Wish I could get my hands on this sweet baby girl for some cuddle time but alas, she lives miles and miles away..

Under the Weather

Both Tuesday Morning Sketches and Tuesday Throwdown have weather related challenges this week. Tuesday Morning Sketches is "rainy weather" and Tuesday Throwdown is "weather report.
The weather report on my card is certainly rain. The little chickie and the sentiment are both DaNami stamps. Who would not be cheered up with this cutie. I used colored pencils to color the chickies and a Copic marker to make the rain drops. The cloud is punched out and then darkened with a gray pencil.

Dad's Day

I've done several days of Mother's Day cards so it is give equal time to Dad today.
If I tried to do the lines and splatters on my own, I'm sure it would be a mess. Thanks to SU for their Gorgeous Grunge stamp set--makes a mess look less messy! I did the sentiment on the computer and cut it with a Nesties label with the Big Shot. The lines and splatters are done in SU chocolate chip and real red smudged around the label for definition. I anchored the label with 4 glue-on gold brads.
I used the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch

And since it is "Inside and Out at The Kraft Journal I used a Kraft cardstock base. And repeated the line stamp on the inside.
I found this sentiment on a Hallmark Card program I have on my computer. It just makes me think of our daughter. She always has a "Daddy Do" list when we visit her home. I just might see if she wants this one to send her Dad for Father's Day.

Dress Up

Do you remember playing "dress up" with your Mom's clothes and shoes? This Mother's Day card is in remembrance of those fun times.
My SU demo sent me this dress from their Dress Up die set. The sentiment is  from SU's "My Mother". The DPs are also from SU. I added a silver ribbon belt and a "diamond" pendant in honor of Mom's jewelry.
This is for Freshly Made Sketches

I paraphrased a sentiment inside from a Hallmark Card Program that I have on the computer.

Spring is Here

Spring is finally here!! I should be outside working or playing. But it is so much more fun to play with spring colors in my craft room. So I have this pastel prints card to share.
Green check is Paper Pizzaz, pink polka dots is Bo Bunny. Yellow stripe ribbon is Michael's. Sentiment is SU. The flowers in the punched oval are from SU Summer Silhouettes. I think that is my favorite of all my flower stamps. The pink oval is Stampabilities die. Then I ran it back through the Big Shot with an IP from SU to make the dotted and raised oval design. I popped that all up with dimensionals. Then 2 pretty pearls. After all aren't Mothers about pretty feminine colors and pearls?

Best Mother

I'm doing a craft show/sale first of May so thought Mother's Day cards would do well. This one is for Newton's Nook sketch challenge. I just can't stop playing with their adorable kitties. My cats loved to play in paper bags like this.
I stamped, colored and then cut out the image. I cut off the tissue paper part of the image and then scrunched up tissue paper to glue to the back. Gives a nice 3-D effect. Also popped up the image with dimensionals. The colors seemed kind of blah when I put them together so I used some circles stamps and randomly stamped them with Versamark. The green check tape is from WalMart. They have some really cute ones. The sentiment on the bag is a very old Inkadinkadoo.
