No DP

I have to admit, this is not an original. I absolutely loved and cased this card from Brian, a super talented SU Demo.
20120529-200611.jpg

I did change it up a bit as I didn't think the leaf would go well with the doily. I used 3 pink rhinestones in place of the leaf.
It is for  Papercraft Star challenge of not using any designer paper on a card. The stamp is Delicate Doilies from SU. Sentiment is Studio G. The ink is black from SU and Geranium from Martha Stewart.

Pals Paper Arts

This is my first time entering the challenge at Pals Paper Arts. I stumbled on their website from somewhere else. Can't remember or retrace that path. Bunch of very talented designers there. Here is their design sketch:

PPA137
Here is my card.

This is actually on white card stock which did not show on the scanned inage. I am using up scraps here for designer paper and ribbon.
Stamps: TAC for sentiment, Inkidinkadoo for flowers, SU for butterfly and punch.
Butterfly is popped up on demensional to give depth--which also doesn't show up on scanner.
I am being lazy and did not want to get out the camera. I really need a place dedicated to photography but alas, my house is just too small to spread my crafting to more space.

Retrosketches 17

Here is  retrosketches challenge for this week:

I have told myself I simply must use up papers that I already have before I am allowed to buy any more.LOL!! We will see how long that lasts! This card except for white cardstock has all paper from scraps file. That blue looking strip is actually purple. That is why I chose ColorBox violet ink for stamps.

Sentiment is Fiskar Words Stamp set. Butterfly on front is SU stamp and punch. Inside butterflies are Inkadinkado.

Pretty in Pink

The challenge at Cas-ual Fridays this week is create a CAS card using pink. So I really went with pink! Pink cardstock stamped with Versamark Delicate Doileys (SU). One of the doilies is stamped in Martha Stewart Geranium and punched out. Sentiment is PTI on a banner from Spellbinders. Center doiley and banner are popped up with dimensionals. Even if you are feeling down or seriously ill, I think a little pink and some bling will cheer you up. So I hope my card brings cheer to someone today.

SKETCH 26 1

Here is stamping 411 sketch for this week:

And my card:

I can't remember the name of this DP from SU.. I only had the end left as I had cut out the roses from the other end for another card. The top of the lined paper (which is a section from this same DP) is cut with a Fiskar border punch. The sentiment and butterlies are from Butterfly prints set. The butterflies are then punched out and scrapper's floss used for antenna. They are popped up with dimensionals. A ruffled ribbon and bow accent the DP.

Window wedding card

I am combining 2 challenges: Papercraft Star (wedding) and tuesday throwdown. (window).
Basic white cardstock for base. Then layer of white with Tim Holtz IP to look like lace. Doily here and inside are Martha Stewart. Ribbon and lace are scraps. And a big "diamond" to add bling. On the inside, I used another doily to stamp the Best Wishes from The Angel Company. I traced over the sentiment with clear star gel pen for some glimmer so it doesn't show to well in the photo.

Mojo 246

I am always glad when Mojo Monday sketches come out. It motivates me to be in the craft room. Here is their sketch this week:

and my card:

The papers are all from the scrap file. I think that wavy strip is from Nana's Kids from DCWV. The cutie frog is a retired stamp from SU. I colored him with colored pencils and added the "googly eyes". The eyes are a little big but make him so cute! The sentiment says "hippy hoppy happy hello". It is also from SU.

Stamping 411 challenge 260

It is a very hot day here so decided to spend some time crafting--okay, let's be truthful, it is really to put off some housework. I used today's sketch from Stamping 411.

That was really a lot to get on a card. I couldn't find any of the coordinating plain cardstock. I guess I'd better do some shopping from the new catalog. I used ruffled ribbon instead of the scallop layer + ribbon. I love this Bring on the Cake stamp set. Hope you don't get too dizzy looking at all the polka dots! LOL!
This is actually on white cardstock but that didn't show up on the scanner. I was being lazy and didn't want to drag out the camera for a picture. I used a watercolor marker for the lace on the cake plate. Then I filled in the plate parts with a clear star gel pen to give the look of glass. Also it is hard to pick up here but the candle flames are colored with gold star gel pen to make them glow.

Critters

Tuesday Throwdown. challenge this week is using critters. I'm sure there will be lots of really cute cards with critters this week. Here is my contribution:
This is on white cardstock with a neon green mat under the circle DP from Nana's Kids Stack. The cutie dinosaur is Stampabilities colored with colored pencils. He is matted to orange square. Both were cut with pinking scissors.  I tied on tags (SU and TAC sentiments and SU tag punch) with orange/white twine.

MoJo Monday always has a great design to start out a crafting week. After a busy weekend, I am enjoying a quiet morning in my craft room--alternately with running to the laundry room.

I've been trying to use up some pieces from my scrap file. So everything is from that file. The sentiment is from a set of Words by Fiskar. Here is my card:

Summertime

Papercraft Star summertime challenge using Retrosketches design:

Nothing says summertime more than flip flops and the beach.
I also totally cased the card Laurie did for Retrosketches. The design is hers also. I hope you can see the flip flops stamped on the striped paper.
I shopped in a small town nearby that is full of craft/gift shops. They even have 2 scrapbook/stamp stores. I found a bunch of stamps for $1.95 and some 2for1 sales. Fun Day!!

Stamps are Lockhart & Co. DP and ruffled ribbon from SU. "happy day" from The Angel Company. I used the circle IP from Cutttlebug for the background. It reminds me of bubbles. Oval is from Spellbinders.

SPARKLE

CAS-casual fridays blog challenges us to use glitter, shine, sparkles on a card this week. I think I surely nailed this one!
I saw this quote on a sign at a gift shop somewhere and immediately knew I had to use it on a card for a friend who has the BIGGEST collection of shoes! I used a cookie cutter for the shoe shape and cut it out of red sparkly paper from Michael's. The picture just does not do justice to the sparkle. It is the ultimate in "ruby slipper".
