Let's Go Fly a Kite

What a fun challenge at CAS-ual Fridays today. Inspiration is to be from a song title. My card reminds me of "Let's Go Fly a Kite" from Mary Poppins a most fun and favorite movie.

That fun DP is from a DCWV called Blossoms and Butterflies. At least I think that was the title. The cover has been discarded. I cut the kites from the diamonds in the DP and tied them with baker's twine. The graduate label is a sticker I found in my stash. The tag punch is SU and the soar is part of a sentiment from SU Send Me Soaring set.
Makes me want to go outside to play. So with the great spring weather we are having here in southern Indiana, I just may do that.

pastel w/black

I have been out of town for a couple of weeks visiting my grandsons & family in Texas. What fun but noisy and rowdy, as 4 & 6 year old boys can be. Had fun visiting Houston Rodeo with them.
It is good to be back home and crafting. Going to try catching up on some challenges. So this is for CAS using black and a pastel.
So while catching up on viewing some blogs I found a card I really love done by Laurie (one of CAS design team) for another challenge. Laurie, I hope you don't mind me casing one of your cards. I wasn't sure how to do her fabulous frame so I just used oval Nesties and popped them up with demensionals.
The lavender polka dot paper and twine are from SU.  Sentiment is TAC stamped in Studio G lilac and traced over with purple star gel pen. Then 3 lavender gems for bling.

double challenge

I was so excited when scanning blogs to learn that challenges at both CAS and Papercraft Star suited the card I just made. CAS is baby projects and Papercraft Star is "frogs".
This little frog is a Sizzix die. I put the darker dots on with pine ink and the eraser end of a pencil. Other supplies are from my scraps. The sentiment stamp is Lawn Fawn. I think this little frog is just the cutest. I'm sure I will be using him a lot. Check out another version here that I made last week for MoJo Monday.  And here for on using the frog for another CAS challenge.
The message inside is a poem about little boys and ends with "The hope of the future with a frog in its pocket"
