Stamping 411

Here is my creation for Stamping 411 sketch 192. It is kind of flipped sideways and right to left  I hope you don't get dizzy figuring that out. LOL. The scallop is under a 1" cutaway on the front of the card. I am seriously into my scrap box today. The basic ivory card is the only new piece. Stripe is SU, Flower DP is Rustic Stack from DCWV and orange scallop is Shimmer stack. Scallops cut with Creative Memories system. Flower stamp is Inkadinkadoo with Stampabilities orange on a punched scallop circle backed with a scrap of green. I filled in the flower with colored pencils. I cut the label from a template and tied on with orange floss. I can't remember where the orange flower is from. Sentiment is TAC

Gauze stamping

Another blogging Donna has a card with this really cool technique of sponging over gauze. Check out her site  here I like new ideas and just had to try this. So here is my card. The colors are so subtle, it is kind of hard to see. All the colors are Studio G--sage green, lavender, blush and then turquoise for dragonfly. The thank you is an old stamp given to me by a friend. Label is gone.I hope you like it. I will surely be using this technique again. Thanks Donna for the great idea.

Stamping 411 #2

this is my 2nd card for stamping 411 challenge this week. I loved the sketch so wanted to use it again. It turned out so cute I just had to share. This is for my soon to be 4 year old granddaughter. The cutie little girl just reminded me of her.
Supplies:
white cardstock
pink cardstock with Cuttlebug dot IP
Stamps both from TAC
Ribbon: dollar bargain at Michael's
Colored pencils for coloring.
Clear star gel pen to add shine to frosting and lettering.
And of course a "diamond" bling--what little girl or even big girl doesn't like diamonds?

pocket card

Tuesday Throwdown challenge is about incorporating pockets in your artwork. I decided to make an entire card pocket. The base is Bazill brown cardstock 4 1/4 x 11 folded in half and corner rounder used on all corners. Then the top layer was scored at 1" and folded down. Tape this down. Glue the sides and bottom with a narrow strip of double side tape. I love pink/brown combbo so I used DP and label from More Mimi by TAC. The ribbon from Michael's goes all the way around and is tied in a knot in front. The many thanks is from tag tidbits by TAC and the label is tied on with scrapper's floss. The inside tag is 5" x 3 1/4" with a 1" strip of DP on top,and corners are also rounded. I sponged a bit of Martha Stewart pink geranium around edges and then stamped You're so thoughtful from TAC in the same color. It is a nice change from all the standard A2 cards.

MoJo Monday

Wow, it has been so long since I played along with mojo monday challenge. I had the flu for a couple of weeks, then went south for a couple of weeks--unfortunately not far enough to escape the cold weather!!
They always have such great designs. I print them out and glue them into a notebook so I can use them again.
This card is ivory cardstock, DP is double sided from SU--great stuff, you don't have to search about for coordinating paper. The plain green and pink are from scrap box. The flower is cut with Cricut. Happy Birthday sentiment is Stampabilities. I did the friends quote by computer. And finally, accented with glue on pearls and added bling to "friends" with clear star gel pen. I am sure any friend would like to get this card for their birthday.

stitching on card

Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week is to use stitching on a card. My sewing machine is in the shop :( so I had to resort to hand stitching. My card base and the purple rectangle are DCWV Shimmer Stack. The pink scalloped strip is from a box of 5x5 cards that came with colored squares also. The dragonfly stamp is Stampabilities done with StazOn violet and the sentiment is Studio g done in StazOn black. Then I pierced 4 holes in the corners and stitched with pink embroidery floss. Tied the same floss thru a pink button and attached with glue dot.
